Love this! I can knit this stitch easily and have made many cardigans for my granddaughter ... they look stunning and so professional !! Have never mastered the crochet version but I’ll definitely give it a go with this tutorial. My aunt used to make cardigans, blankets, bonnets...all kinds of stuff (knitted version) Thank you so much Sarah Jayne , this will be a welcome break from my c2c Harry Potter inspired blanket squares!

Hi love this stitch in your video you talked about adding more loops in the single crochet row can you tell me how?
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
In the tutorial I show how to make a really dense loop stitch - it's not possible to add more loops but you can make the loops more spaced out by working more plain rows of single crochet, or substituting that stitch for a taller one such as a double (US terms) 😊

Love your video! I think I do have the hang of it. I was wondering if the loops can be cut to make a fringe look? Will the stitches come apart?
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm so glad you like it 😊 I've not tried this; I would think the stitches would still be pretty secure but I wouldn't want to try it on anything that's going to experience a lot of wear such as a top or blanket and it would definitely have to be a hand wash item only.

Hi thank you for teaching me the loop stitch. I’m trying to make a guardian angel baby blanket. My question is rows 14 & 15 call for the loop stitch. But then the loop stitch in row 15 will be in the back of the blanket. Please help me thank you
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
You're welcome 😊 To work this stitch, you should only be making the actual loop stitch every other row so that it is worked on the right side, with a row of plain stitches in between. Could there be a row missing from the pattern you are using?

How can you use this in amigurumi where you crochet in the round and want the loops on the front (nearest) side?
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
Working the loop stitch in amigurumi is a little different - the yarn needs to be looped around your thumb at the front of the piece so that it's worked on the right side 😊

I wonder if i can use this in my amigrumi long furby project. Maybe that's not the best idea lol. Anyways love this

im trying to make a panel of loop stitches. is there any pattern for the loops to show up on the right side?
@bh40402 жыл бұрын
im making a hat
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
When working this stitch bear in mind that the loops will always show up on the side facing away from you, which is why we work a row of double crochets (UK terms) in between so that all the loops stay on the same side. If you want to work loops on both sides for example, you would need to work an extra row of double crochets so that the right side of the work is facing you when working the loops. Hope this helps! 😊

I think I'm doing something wrong. When I wrap my scarf around my neck I notice that the loops are stretched out. I have to pull on them to reshape my scarf.
@helenm.langham50393 жыл бұрын
Would it work with hds
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can try working the loop stitch using different stitches, this will alter the density of the loops 😊

Why does your hook say 4mm if it’s 4.5mm? New to crotchet and self taught so sorry if stupid question!
@clairemckinstray51753 жыл бұрын
Hi Katie, it’s probably just been a slip of the tongue, if you look in the description box it’s stated a 4mm hook, it’s not a stupid question 😊💞

Sorry, yes it's a slip of the tongue. It is a 4mm hook :)
