Jennifer, this coffee cozy is an awesome quick Christmas gift. It would even be good without a decorative button. I have made coffee sleeves that are almost identical to this. Fiber Flux I have a question. After your begining Ch and SL ST to joined, you HDC into the next stitch + the remaining stitches. When you joined to the 1st HDC to complete round 1 you stated "remember that Ch 2 we did. Both the video and written directions do not mention a CH2 after the slip st to join. So my question is.. Is there a CH2 after the slip stitch to join in the beginning of R1?

She's using a size L hook. 5 is a bulky yarn you can use. Or, double up your 4 weight yarn. Use 2 strands together. Hope that helps.
