Can’t see which back loop and front loop you’re referring to when starting your first star stitch. I see you point with the needle but when you stick your hook in, I’m lost. Once that’s past (what you say is the hardest part) the video is fine.

How are you doing an odd stitch count in the round? How are you doing your increases? How many stitches did you start with in your MR? I keep starting with 7 and my stitch count isn't coming out right. By the 4th round I end up having to crochet into my ch 1 stitch.
