Does this stitch curl, as does the simple stitch? If so, what gets rid of it so it remains flat, as in your FO?

How do you make a blanket with this stitch?

Don’t know if you’ve had this answered already but I would make the starting chain as long as you want your blanket to be wide (just making sure you keep an even number of chains) and then do the pattern over and over until you’re satisfied with the size/length of your blanket.

I have an old crochet book which describes this stitch. The instructions are not too precise. Your clip makes it clear. I was confused over terminology first vertical second vertical and interpreted it as left outer vertical right inner vertical in a pair. What a mess
