Ah I was doing 5 + 8 - now I see why the stitch count wasn’t coming out right. Third time’s the charm I hope.

I'll make a blanket out of this stitch, right after I make last night's hat that I couldn't make because I was just too tired. That is, if I don't have to take a nap first. - Mumbles. - Not enough hours in a day to do all of this. Not enough days in a week. Thank you, Crystal! It's a beautiful pattern stitch! 💕💕💕

I know I keep saying this, but I really appreciate all of these stitch tutorials that you've been doing for us. Folks that are new to crochet (or just new to designing their own items) can use these stitches to literally make anything, once they work out the stitch count necessary for what they are making! You can make a scarf, blanket, placemats for the dinner table, washcloths, etc. As you get more confident, you can use these (and her other stitch tutorials) to design your own sweaters, ponchos, shawls and hats! When you watch her other tutorials, you will see how these items are "put together" (like top-down beanies always start the same way in the "increase" rows - then you can use other stitches for the main part of the hat). By switching up rows of different stitches and different colors of yarn you can create beautiful items! Thank you Crystal, for widening our creative horizons! ❤

Love this! I have been looking for a Victorian style stitch ! Can’t believe I spent all night trying to find something like this! I have a Mary Maxim pattern with a stitch like this but, much larger looks like an oversized hourglass, I think they call it a coffee & cream diamond throw. Thank you for your help this is the closest I have seen yet! ❤ I am horrible with reading a pattern s😢

I love that pattern, but I don't like working into a slip stitch, so I thought what if I used a single crochet instead of a slip stitch and a double crochet instead of a half double. > So I tried it. It turned out beautiful. I worked in the back loops. I love how it turned out. I know it is not a true almond stitch, but It works for me. Thank you Crystal for the inspiration to try it a different way.
