@vitalial10 ай бұрын

@Chihiro just buy 2 of the white/cream/other cute color yarn bundles that you see in the beginning of the video just to be safe. Then you can use any leftovers for making something smaller like a flower or something. Also get your hands on the Crochet book from Klutz if you can. It's not being public anymore but I highly recommend it. Just the book since people will overcharge for the kits due to Scholastic not publishing the Klutz books & kits anymore.

Please try the Crochet book from Klutz! You won't need the whole kit since it's overpriced to buy the kit since Klutz was bought out by Scholastic & the kits/books don't get published anymore. But the kit does have a 4.0mm crochet hook if you do buy it. I bought the kit back when Klutz was still in business so it was only $19.99 at Barns & Nobles back in the day. It's very beginner-friendly and only has one page that has the annoying abbreviations that most patterns would use, just to help explain them for when you do decide to try patterns that aren't in the book.

I highly recommend the Crochet book from Klutz, but you will only be able to get it second-hand because they were bought out by Scholastic and they stopped publishing all the old Klutz books/kits. You don't need the full kit because it's extremely overpriced compared to back when you could by the kits new in-store for only $19.99 from Barns & Nobles back in the day. But the kit does have all the supplies including the 4.0mm crochet hook these legwarmers need. I also recommend the Knitting book from Klutz, normal one not the Spool Knitting one because I haven't tried it yet.

@savannahfletcher2 жыл бұрын
Aww, thank you!!! I think I know what you mean! So the first row doesn't really matter whether you go through the whole stitch or just backloop, up to you! For every single row after that, you definitely want to do back loops only, so that the whole leg warmer looks ribbed! I hope this helps! 💖

These leg warmers are so cute!! But I have a question: Is it alright if I make striped leg warmers? I’m currently making my own leg warmers using your pattern and I want it striped but I just wanted to know if it’s ok.
@savannahfletcher Жыл бұрын
Thats absolutely okay! That sounds sooo cute!! You can make them striped by changing colors each row (or every few rows). I love this idea! 💖💖

Wow, definately gonna try making these! Never done crocheting before though, and I'm wondering if this is a good place to start? (Btw you gained another subscriber)

You are too sweet!!!! 😭 I'm so happy you are starting crochet! I would say this is a great first project because it's really repetitive once you get past the first row! That first row can be so hard sometimes, so just stick with it! I believe in you 🥰 thank you so much!!! 💖💖

Mine looks nothing like this but it’s my first project and I finally happy I was able to pull through and make at least one thing with. I’m thinking maybe the type of yarn I used played a part also?
@savannahfletcher2 жыл бұрын
Yayyyy!!! I'm so proud of you bestie 😭 i hoped these leg warmers could be someone's first project! Hmm, definitely could have been! Was it a really thick yarn or a funky texture kind?
@unbreakablerobot3142 жыл бұрын
@@savannahfletcher it was some old and weird texture yarn. I’m gonna invest into some better yarn and try this over again

How many different ‘lots’ of yarn did this take? I’d like to make these but I’m a complete beginner, just want to make sure I have enough yarn!
@savannahfletcher Жыл бұрын
Yeah, of course!! I think I used no more than 2 white lots of yarn. Then you just need a little bit of the other color if you want to add the trim. If you are using those really small lots though, you might need more than 2! 💖
