I see items for sale but not patterns where u see them teaching you the patterns as they illustrate in their video. I looked up crochet hats to see if I could purchase a pattern and be taught by video but it’s more like Etsy because people want you to buy what they crafted. I learn a lot watching you make something like the toque I’m making now. So if someone out there knows how this ribblr works please explain it to me. Thank you

Much appreciated!! I keep dropping or losing stitches. Any idea how this could happen? I've pulled apart the toque a few times now :) Super beginner here!
@mjsoffthehook4 жыл бұрын
Always count every round and just take your time! I usually count but its so important for beginners. It's really easy to loose a stitch when turning rounds if you don't count.
@cynthiachase65445 жыл бұрын
Sorry if I missed it some where but what size is the hat you're making in the video? Young teen?? The brim doesn't seem large enough even considering its stretch for anything over a 20" circumference head.
@mjsoffthehook5 жыл бұрын
The hat I made is for a 21 to 22" head size. Model is 22" head size. If you are using different yarn you could have variances.

That’s a beautiful hat! Can I make it with bulky yarn?

Kimberly learning channel that would change the sizing for sure. You would have to alter the pattern with bulky yarn.

I’m actually making the hat now but I brought up another site called ribblr but all I can see is info on an app called kickstart and it’s nothing like the ribblr information. I’m just lost trying to find info on it. I can’t even find it through google. Because I crochet by only by video. I can’t read patterns good at all so I thought this ribblr would be like this but if u have any other site for me to find this ribblr o would appreciate it. Thank you
@Ribblr5 жыл бұрын
Hi Karen, it's Lir from Ribblr. We have not launched yet and we are running a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, where crafters can pledge any amount they want to help us finish our development. On Ribblr, we will have video support embedded right into patterns, so you can get a pattern you like and see how to do it with text, images and video. You can follow us on KZbin and watch our videos which will explain more.

Hi MJ, I was wondering. No hat pattern ever shows lining it with fleece to make it more windproof. In my experience, when I put on a hat without lining, the wind blows through. But most of your hats look like it wouldn't be the case. Is it maybe that I should use a smaller hook, or a thicker yarn or a stitch which makes no large gaps? You can imagine, that having to line it makes the hat more expensive and time consuming.
