A big thank to you Manta Man Your videos are of a big help for me and my 1981 L-Jet Turbo BMW 745i

Wow. Thank you *SO MUCH!* You've taught me all about L-Jetronic (including LE & LU), and I learned on my own that LH-Jetronic uses a *Hot-Wire* air flow meter instead of the vane-type. Also you taught me that Bosch Motronic uses a camshaft sensor which allows the ECU to control ignition timing instead of the distributor. Plus you taught me about tuning the AFM & throttle position switch, or using fuel injectors with a different flow rate, or using an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. You've really opened my mind to the many possibilities of using these injection systems with older cars which had carburetors. *Thank you so much!!!*

You all prolly dont care at all but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me

Hey! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and take time to make the video for us... I own a Range Rover Classic V8 3.5Efi and I was looking for some information about the injectors... I will cut and put new hoses cause the ones I have, the rubber outside is full of cracks in all of them... I send the injectors today in the morning for an ultrasonic cleaning, hope tomorrow are ok to install back!😁

EXCELLENT video! Thanks for all this great information. I have an 84 Citroen CX 2500 IE with the LE Jetronic system that I am having some issues with. Hopefully with the information you have shared I can get it sorted out. Thanks again!

First you start with looking for other cars with LE injection. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jetronic ( The ECU connector is usually the same number of pins ). So in your case, I would look for 1984 cars with LE injection of the same rough liter displacement and number of cylinders ( BMW, Opel, VW, etc.. ) Then you look at the pin connector.. ( 5 or 6 or 7 pin... etc.. ) When you find one that hits all those criteria. You may find it has a close to the same part number, but a few things are different. Bosses to mount it in the car and the like. Thats when you go and get one and try to see if it works. If it works it works. If it doesn't it won't hurt anything. Hope that helps :) I used to have a website that listed the cars with it. I have a old manual and will list them above once I transcribe that info.

The Australian Holden VK Commodore (1984-86) 3.3 ltr in line black 6 cylinder) uses the same/similar system. Trying to tune/fix/diagnose mine.

awesome video. at about 70s you mention 50A peak and 23A hold. Thats crazy high for one injector. Is that for 4 or 6 injectors in total?
@charlesgoin8217 Жыл бұрын
Sure for all.. not sure context of the 50S/23S comment.. so will have to review the video. BUt most the time the fuse is under 20 amps.. so probably depends on low impedance verse high.

Hi, I'm from Brazil, I have a 1976 chevrolet chevette, I would like to put the C24NE engine, but it didn't come to Brazil, is it easy to find this engine in the USA?
@GoinManta3 жыл бұрын
No.. They didn't come here. There are getting close to impossible to find in europe as well. Working on a stroker kit to make a 2.5L out of a 1.9L

Great video. Do you know of a top expert & authority on CIS K-Jet for performance mods &/or who has in-depth engineering knowledge of the system design, & has the Bosch Service Center Bench Flow Server Center?

I have a 73’ Opel GT upgraded with fuel injection. I have a moderate vacuum leak on the big hose between the air intake and injection system. Where do I find a replacement? Is there a certain part number I can look up? Thanks

What system? LE or Motronic or Ljet ?
@dannielpizatto73573 жыл бұрын
Your content is very nice! Thanks for the effort to put all this information together. In Brazil our Opel CIH is a 6-cylinder 3 Liter with Bosch Motronic 1.5. The injectors are high impedance Bosch 0280150962
@GoinManta3 жыл бұрын
I would look at the Ford injectors.. They are inexpensive and in the middle of the range..
@dannielpizatto73573 жыл бұрын
@@GoinManta Fortunately these 962 injectors are not very problematic. But the engine that superseeded the CIH, a 4.1-Liter derived from GM's Stovebolt design, uses the 0280150975 that are prone to leak in the seam between the plastic and steel body. We usually replace these for Bosch 0280155822 that have an all-plastic body.

@@dannielpizatto7357 I will say the Brazilian Opala (Especially the later 90s ones) are so cool.

Excellent info. One thing tho. The word “marque” is pronounced “mark” not “marquee”. That’s a tent.
