Hi! ok, 1. I think it's awesome that you're not shy to do doll tutorials even though most of the world thinks that dolls are for girls. :) 2. I just got a Cleo De Nile doll and I'm wondering if it is ok to curl her hair like this because I'm afraid that that will ruin her hair since she has this perfect curl in the front. lisa simpson Thanks! :)I'm not sure about Journey dolls but for AG, their hair is a much better quality than normal dolls so I think you can use the traditional curlers and then set them overnight (no need for hot water) and their hair will be curled. But originally straight haired AGs will need more time.

Thank you so much for this helpful tutorial! :) (As well as the Boil Wash video.) I just got some more EAH dolls today and due to a certain circumstance Briar was my first doll to ever leave her box and I'm really disappointed: her hair is extremely frizzy and she has something really oily on her head and in her hair that even stained the cardboard. :( I definitely plan on re-styling her anytime soon but I'm unsure about "washing" her hair. Do you think I might be able to carefully wash her head with a little bit of shampoo and use a conditioner afterwards?

just subscribed love vid but if when you curl and don't boil can you comb hair without undoing curls

If You don't want to boil, you need leave the curlers in your doll's hair for a few days but after you take off the straws, the curls would eventually fall out. and you can brush the hair but brushing too much might undo the curls. :)

Well, You don't have to do the last hot water part if you don't want the curls to be permanent. The hot water in the last part is to really set the curls. But you can just leave the curlers in for a few days without dipping in hot water if you just want the curls to be temporary. :)and thank you!! :D

What I did to my doll was, well I did what you did. But I ran out of pins halfway through, so i braided my doll's hair, and i braided the braids, and so on. I left it for a 2 days. I then mixed a little bit of curling hairspray with water then spritz a little bit of it on my doll... is this damaging my dolls hair????

NathalieAurora It is tied with a clear elastic band. So yes, you can undo it. But, I left it that way coz I'm not sure how to twist it back like that haha :P

i have a disney princess Rapunzel doll my Dad got me and i've washed her twice because her hair was so grss. it was sticky, matted and tangled and looked impossible to brush, but I managed to fix her hair beautifully, only when i tried to use my flat iron on her hair like i did on my Barbie, it burned and melted a small chunk of her hair, thankfully it wasn't much. i think it's because Rapnzel and other Disney princess dolls have Saran hair and Barbies have nylon hair. Saran can't withstand heat where as mylon can, but there's a catch, as long as the heat isn't too hot nylon is okay to use heat with. Saran, Nope.

Maria Montes Don't boil them in the water, just boil the water separately and then pour it into a bowl and then dip their hair. :)

Justize Littlejohn hmm, i think you can but there won't be any holes to put in the pins so u might need to use hair clips to secure the hair around the pencil. :)
