Its still real tedious taking the controller apart, and you run the risk of messing up the feel of your Xbox One controller. This really requires some major patience, and everyone cannot do this like he said.

I just realized the bit I was using wasnt a torx It was similar to a torx, but it didn't have the part in the center

Hey! Yea you got to reattach those black cables and you just click them right back in. Like a button lock. As for putting the controller back together, follow all the same steps but in reverse. Hope this helps. There’s plenty of tutorials on yt also

Gotta be careful my guy. My way is faster/easier because no soldering is required. But you gotta be patient with it. I’m sure you can still get the buttons back in there if your slow with it. Open the controller and lift the rubber pads that hold the buttons in place. Then, try to put the buttons back in place. Maybe use something slim to reach in the hard to reach places. It’s happened to me before when I first started and I was able to get them back. And remember sexy, ain’t nobody told you that you had to try this

@@YNDKayyYT Shouldn't be like that. Go to 4:11 in the video and make sure you have the same placement for the color filter. Happened to me when I first tried because I put the filter in the wrong spot. Took it back apart and moved it. All good after

Um… yah it took me an hour to take mine apart to do that mod an it turned out amazing just have to be very careful taking it apart I cut a part of plastic out from a thin Fiji water bottle an cut it to fit on the rubber sensor an colored both sides red an used supper glue to hold it if you want your Xbox home button to be a smooth click vs kinda plastic to plastic sound when pressing it try an cut it to fit inside the home button that way it don’t have that sound I just cut mine perfectly round an colored it glued it with supper clue an it works perfect so🤷‍♂️

if you do posca markers over some masking tape it works pretty well even if its a light color you can even test it on your phone flashlight if you feel the need to
