This is ONLY for the Elite Controller 2, not the first Gen Elite Controller. (Easy way to tell which Elite controller you own is the 2nd Gen uses USB-C cables and the 1st gen used Micro-USB cables.... Another way to tell is the 1st gen had a removable battery cover on the back for swapping out battery packs or 2 AA batteries in it....but the newest Elite 2 Controller has an internal rechargeable battery that can't be removed without completing taking apart the entire controller. So the Elite 2 can be recharged while sitting on the wireless docking station in the zipper case by plugging in the USBC cable either in the back of the Zipper Case so it connects to the charging dock....or you can just plug the USBC cable directly into the top of the controller. This video is kind of misleading making people think they can change the color of any Xbox controller...but this is ONLY for the newest Microsoft Elite 2.

i think it’s better if the controller is able to remove batteries cus id rather take 30 seconds swapping batteries instead of have to plug in for 30 minutes

Guys, this is can help you game at 3 AM. Turn your brightness on your controller and your Xbox all the way down and then when your dad you just turn off your TV while your stuff is still on, it will just be dark instead of white.

It's not even about battery life. But when laying in bed, wanting to play on the and holding the pad the light shines directly into eyes. So having default brightness and playing while laying in bed is a no go.
