Yes you can, the only issue is that using ready made cups can expose the bust/cleavage. If you're not comfortable with that, please kindly draft the cups from scratch so that it won't expose your bust 👍

It is advisable to use 4 inches but if it’s too high for you then you can use 3 inches. Please kindly note that using any number less than the difference between your bust point and under-bust may expose your cleavage.

For non-stretch fabrics, please add joining allowance. For stretchy fabrics, please do not add joining allowance at the shoulders and to the corset. In some cases, you may have to subtract 1 inch if the fabric is extremely stretchy or elastic.

Okay 👍 If you want a keyhole neckline for your back, you have to start with drafting your Back basic bodice. Once that is ready, then draw a keyhole design like what was done in this video. NOTE!!! Instead of coming down from the neckline by 2inches like we did in this video, for the back keyhole, you will only come down by 1inch before curving it towards the Armhole. You also have to extend it outwards by 1inch as button allowanace (so that you can fix your button or clip to close it up after you wear it) Do not forget to add the darts towards the Armhole to remove excess fabric as shown in this video. I hope my explanation helps👍 If you're not clear, do let me know.

Yes please, when you place your pattern on your fabric, kindly add half an inch as sewing allowance on the cup area. If the fabric you're using is a stiff one like ankara then you need to add sewing allowance on the yoke since ankara does not stretch👍

If you're going to use the cups with a normal yoke, the first thing you have to do is draft the basic bodice. After drafting the basic bodice with your desired neckline, go ahead and sew darts on the cups then place the cup on the Pattern and trace round it like shown in the video. Since you don't want the keyhole design, no need creating it. This will create a normal yoke pattern for your Corset with cups. For ease of sewing, remember to create a sweetheart design at the center front so that you can easily join the yoke as you would in a normal bustier 👍

Thanks for Watching ! For your first question, please do not add 1 inch to your Underbust as it will affect the way the corset holds your Bust. It is important to measure your exact underbust measurement directly when drafting a corset. For your second question, yes you can add ready made cups to the first method of drafting a corset. It is not restricted to only the second method. How to do it? After you've cut out and sewn the drafted cups with your fabric and warden, you can trim and add the 'ready made cups' inside by sewing it to the warden with needle and thread. Another way of attaching is by ensuring the down parts(underbust) is even and then directly sew it to the main bodice. It is advisable to use the first method when you want to avoid exposing the cleavage/bust so during the drafting process, you can increase the height of the cups you're drafting to what you're comfortable with. Please note that this is not possible for the second method of cutting a corset as it is fixed to the width of the cups (which may expose the cleavage/bust).
