That color technique is very cool! I love how the layers of the cut show off the layers of the color. Would like to see this color technique with some more subdued shades.

Got my first shag in ‘72 in an upscale department store that sold stuff I couldn’t afford to buy, but on the upper floor was a small salon with stylists, the going rate was $5- for a wash, cut & style, I tipped her $5- and it was a stunning, awesome cut. ..love this style above all others💇🏻♀️ The stylist shown here, Paul Watts works pure magic✨

Paul Watts HAIR do you ever worry about the length / perimeter or does it work on most? Could you adjust your finger angles to keep more or less length? I’m gonna try this on a blunt one length !
@PaulWattsHair4 жыл бұрын
@@madischlagel5731 It all depends on your desired result, leaving the length till last will give you a much more textured end result which suits, but if your client wants a blunt edge, do it!! itll look great!!

@@tonishairstyles1568 ahhh yes I get this a lot. I wrap dry the heads with Smoothing and heat protection products, working in small sections, I then one hand straighten, so I don't get any clip marks, straightening in the smallest of sections. Finish is everything. Thank you so much for picking this up. I'm doing this Live on the 2nd March so will make sure I show you all.

What happens if the client has a side part can you do it on the side instead of middle part
@kathleenhibbs64533 жыл бұрын
Hi 😊 My hair is fairly thick, and as I'm get older, my hair seems to be coming in somewhat coarser and waiver. The front part is just below ears ( except for my bangs ). The back is slightly longer. I would like to try a modern shag. Would that work for me now, or should I let it grow a bot longer. I need bangs of some sort because I have a high forehead.
@PaulWattsHair3 жыл бұрын
I would get as much length as possible, then the haircut can really be designed to suit you, with no limitations.

At the end the fringe was a lot shorter than where you originally cut it, in your first cut you made was the fringe and that was right down to the manikins lips, at the end the fringe is a lot higher up her face...... When did you do this part...

Hi Thanks for the comment, it was in the refining process. Sculpting around the face and lifting that Fringe with texture.

I was very disappointed that you didn't take just a few minutes at the end of this video to show how it would look brushed in a way that someone would actually wear it. My wife was interested in this style for herself, and wanted me to cut it for her, but disappointed that it was not styled like someone would really wear it. Wouldn't have taken but a couple minutes to also brush it back and see how it would look that way.
