In all fairness you CAN angle cut your internal corners too, it will just not allow for much wall imperfections. If your walls are bang on 90 degrees I never had issues angling internal corners. With not so ideal walls, scribing the corner gives a bit of manoeuvre to join them more neatly. With angled cut you’d have to fill the gap with caulk and paint it to hide imperfections.

Great video, thank you. It's really well explained. I'm having a nightmare and have hit a mental block mid job. My double bevel mitre saw only goes to 45 degrees either way. I need approx 46 degrees for my bisected mitre. Can't seem to get the angle on my saw.

yep this bloke knows what he's doing - although it helps to have a fancy chop saw and a sliding bevel -- . Four corner rooms are easy but if you've got to go round an old chimney breast and do external mitres Id get a decent chippy to do it rather than pissing around for days on end bisecting angles, filing off 45 degree mitres than don't fit, cutting mitres the wrong way and generally getting REALLLY ANGRY.

Brilliant! Good to see there are still Craftsman out there, don’t come across many these days. It’s normally bodge joints, I have to get out the two pack wood fillers & caulk to make the joints good. Yes, I am a decorator & I get frustrated that some so called joiners don’t spend that little extra time to get the mitres right.

I am second to the commenter. I am dead serious when I say that I have been struggling for a week now with a tiny room, trying to set the trim boards by mitre box, manual adjustable mitre saw, angle finder and first try coping with a Dremel sander etc but its FAILURE! Everything looks horrible and I just wasted a week of my life. No result.

From another chippy. Far too long winded. Buy a digital angle finder to use in conjunction with your chop saw. Easy.

katastrophenschutzwa you miss the point my friend! This video is aimed at diyers who are trying to save money by doing the job themselves.
