I bought the simplicity bias machine. Fantastic. But spent half a day trying to match two pieces of bias. I was hopeless. Until I now have looked at your You Tube presentation. Wonderful. Got the hang of it straight away. Many thanks. Wished I had seen this yesterday.

Hi Debbie I asked you the other day about a bias binding foot and you replied to me which was great Thankyou, you asked if there was anyone with any other suggestions, well I have done my bias binding using my zipper foot, which I was able to get right to the edge on both sides of my work. I'm making reversible waistcoats for a cruise we are going on in 5 weeks. I love all the amazing tips you give out for us to use on create n craft, Barry from Brighton

Thanks for a great tutorial! I didn't know how to attach individual strips of bias together, as I had only been shown the tube method of making bias (sew a rectangle into an offset tube which was already marked, then cut). Thanks for showing the mitre corner, and how to sew both by hand and by machine. Thanks for all of the tips. Thank you also for showing the nice tools. I may need to get a mini iron, as my large iron heats up too much of the fabric at once and scorches before I'm far enough ahead. Thanks again!

I have since bought your magazine and some CDs as your instructions are so clear and you explain so even a real beginner like me can understand. My sewing machine also thanks you as it has previously been sitting unused for many years. Have you made a video to show how to put piping around the top of a bag without messing up the handles?
@debbieshore9 жыл бұрын
+Joyce Rigg Hi Joyce, glad you're enjoying the sewing! I've not made a video on piping yet, but I wouldn't put the handles in the same seam, it would look a bit bulky I think...

Nice! Your thoughts on stiching in the ditch. Obviously it still shows on the back side and you have to go slow so you're sure you catch your back fabric. But it does illiminate the stiching showing on the front. Love yourcwork!

Hi Debbie, I struggled a bit to understand how to attach the strips to each other, but I persevered! I finally got that you have to place the angles where the widths will match. I don't know if I did something wrong, but it seems that to get the angles right I lost quite a bit of the length. I would suggest that it might have been a bit easier to understand if you had used a fabric where the right and wrong side were obvious and if you had a diagram that could be captured on the screen. Nonetheless, you are my HERO!
