Hey! Great video! I just cracked open some Geodes with a hammer and flathead screwdriver lol my 4 year old son got a kit as a gift, so the wife and I got to work. It went well, but certainly could’ve been better on a few of them. I decided to do a search and found this video first. I’m gonna subscribe and check out more of your stuff.

Thanks for the video but it gave me anxiety. Lol. I wouldn't recommend anyone hold the rock while using a dremel and if i did i would definitely wear some heavy duty gloves. Those blades can jump off the cut line. I would probably place a piece of rubber between the vice to help it grip the rock. That said, I enjoyed the demonstrations and information. Thanks!!

I m all for being as safe as you like, in the beginning, I State that I don’t recommend some of the things I do I’m an old timer I usually can stop cutting myself before it’s too bad. You can actually touch a diamond blade lightly in a lot of cases without cutting yourself. It depends on how much force you’re using, but I appreciate the safety and you can never be too safe especially if you’re not an old timer buzzard like me.

Honestly, I’m not sure I’ve never use the segmented saw blade for rocks and I do not recall ever using one. I have used a lot of saws over the decades. I know for concrete a segment blade helps the blade to not load up, for. better cutting,. Not sure on agate or harder rocks.
