On our farm in central eastern Missouri, when I was young, we would go to this one place and find rocks that are shaped like cauliflower. From 2” to 8” diameter. They were almost always solid and the crystals always clear.

I have been to Keokuk for geodes but never got any that big. Most of the stuff we got were more like softball size and smaller. We went to Jacob's. Glad to see he is still open. We were there back in 2008.

Geodes are super cool, I have one I've never opened. I bought it, so I'm sure there's nothing to crow about it in it. I hope everything is ok w/you both and the dogs. Only saw the one dog (Nala, if I recall), during a video or two back. I'm a vet tech, so I tend to notice the critters more than the people LOL.

Nothing, but a lot of times they end up being solid. I found a couple that were hollow though.
