Looking forward to seeing how she moves. My brother and I put a 7.5hp outboard on the back of a 15ft Coleman Scanoe(flat back canoe). We took it out in Dunham pond in Carver, a nice little pond for bass fishing. Me weighing 200lbs was in the front. That little motor lifted me 30 inches in the air and pushed us about 18 mph.

When you put everything back together after you cut the shaft .. did you cut the wire shorter or did you leave the water that length?

I haven't got a trolling motor in my future anytime soon, but this was useful all the same! Also, is your anchor system more or less the same since last year? If you've made any tweaks or changes would you mind making a video of it for us? It's the first major mod/upgrade I am going to be doing to my Sportsman 106.

Hi I’m using a simple 10 pound mushroom anchor with cam quick cleats the last symptom was nice but this kayak is heavier and the two 3 pound folding anchors couldn’t hold the kayak in wind just dragged this 10 pound mushroom anchor hold me i the wind and when i do the walk around on my kayak this year I will mention it. Thanks for watching
