Really enjoyed this tonight, first real tutorial I have seen on pre market, just goes to show, you don’t have to wait for the bell to trade and as I am a complete night owl, don’t go to bed until about 6am, I might get lucky and crab a few trades, before I hit the sack. The thought of being green, before the day has even started or while I am getting my head down, makes for a sweet dream. But talk is cheap, you got to accomplish it and this is what I am working my way towards doing. I can’t wait to get started as each week goes past, the anxiety try’s to get the better of me, but I won’t let it, know matter what happens it’s not going to happen, until at such time l, know I can do this successfully. That I really do believe I have to look forward to. So a great tutorial once again, learnt well from this and it’s another notch on my trading crib board, it’s starting to look a little different now. Thanks for the lesson ross. Bill

As useful as the technical information is, the most interesting thing I have learned from Ross, is how, no matter how successful you become, the emotion battle never goes away. For new traders, it is expected. But even if you eventually build $8M+ in profit (which is literally a dream for new traders), the emotional battle will still be there. It's not like you reach a certain level, and feel fine on a red day. Its more like, no matter how many home runs you hit in your career, striking out still bothers you - particularly when it happens multiple times in a row. Its just interesting human nature.

Hi Ross, thanks for the information. How can one manage risk during extended market hours? Limit orders and extended market orders are effective for setting profit targets, but they don’t seem to work well for stop orders to exit at a loss or break even. Is it correct that trading during extended market hours requires constant screen monitoring? Thanks!

Thanks for everything you do. I’m curious about premarket daily volume to average volume ratios. I’m finding it hard to find stocks that have a favorable ratio early premarket, sometimes it’s hard to even find a daily volume that’s higher than the average volume let alone 1-5 times the average.
