Thanks mate. The hardest part is getting solder to stick to spring steel. These are great old engines, runs so smoothly and so reliable.

@@BearsTrains yeah... I have 2 and run so slow and smooth.. started taking mine apart last night with a few beers. Bad idea...lol.. lost 3 of 4 springs.

@@BearsTrains bigger ouch.. 1. you MUST solder off motor lol. melted 1 so gotta replace it. 2. I need to do like you did and have a better work area as I cant find the springs lol... all good. lessons learned...
