Gormlaith's health must be reduced below zero in order for her to be able to be transformed by Wabbajack while she is reanimated. This detail was later discovered by @imacobra4862 , which can be achieved by attacking her as she is being reanimated. Subscribe to his channel for some very nice content.

This is great. I am looking at getting the aetherial crown for extra uses of the ritual stone, and I have a focus on conjuring. I am definitely going to Time Heist a dead thrall. Seriously its as cool as it is obscure.

Just some tips. the transmogrify only seems to work on gormlaith during a kill cam, which im fairly sure is only possible in 3rd person with the wabajack. I couldnt get it to work unless i had nothing in my left hand, AND used 3rd person. Even then i havent gotten the timing down yet. Plus aiming in 3rd person is aweful. But i tried for hours in 1st person and with vampiric grip in my left hand. Both seem to entirely prevent the possibility of transforming gormlaith.

As the Skyrim player who discovered many new things in this game such as siding with the Nords at Thirsk Mead Hall but still able to get a Riekling follower, the no schedule guards, and how it is still possible to obtain a poison immunity necklace pass the level 20, this is an impressive find here. You want to make a different save file first before passing time to see where the time slot of your wedding is then from there wait until about 5 seconds to open the scroll so you fail it before the cut scene. From here it becomes a trail and error by timing it but I do suggest using the ritual stone power instead of dead thrall. As the uploader suggested, you need to hit Gormlaith Golden-Hilt enough so that her health is 0 before she is completely reanimated on her feet. It seems the right time to go into this is when the one guy say the word eater is gone, no kill camera is required for the Wabbajack to make her transform into an animal.

When you say she can equip better armor/weapons, is it only with the ritual stone (placing items on her corpse before reviving) or does it also work with dead thrall (I know they don't usually equip items and their inventory gets reset when they enter a new cell) EDIT: I just saw the description saying that Dead Thrall doesn't work on her due to the level cap

@@stefanschultz601 Thats not how it works. Being a lower level makes it easier to dead thrall because the enemies level with you. Once you are too high of a level you cant even use dead thrall on a regular city guard.

Any idea why the Wabbajack only uses Exploding Fire Ice and Thunder magic? EDIT: This should only happen to essential characters, dragons and such but since she gets killed by Alduin she shouldn't be essential anymore but the game still treats her as an essential character. No idea why this is happening but if somebody knows please tell me.

Idk if this can help but here’s my experience: I firstly Made a lot of unsuccesfull attempts by trying to wabbajack her once reanimated, but every time the wabbajack did spell damage and eventually kill her without tranforming her into other creatures. I later figured out that Leopold reanimated her with the ritual stone to make the wabbajack shots working on Gormlaith while keeping it Vanilla style, but if you just need the wabbajack effects to work you can also resurrect her if you’re on PC by typing the following console commands: “prid 44446” (that’s her Ref ID) and then “resurrect”. Once I did this I wabbajacked her near the cutscene (when Felder is pronuncing the last words) and I managed to transform her and bring her back in the future (well, the chicken that I turned her into). After some second the chicken re-transformed into Gormlaith and bam, she was dead (and naked) but still in game as shown in the video even if i did not reanimated her with ritual stone/dead thrall (I could have done with the spell cause I was not doing any lvl. 1 challenge on my playthrough). With this method, If she were killed during the transformation attempt, you have some seconds left to immediately resurrect her and keep firing with the wabbajack, before the cutscene ends, raising in this way your possibilities to make the exploit work in every single try. That’s it, hope it can help. P.S.: it could happen sometimes that when Alduin kill her, he can also throw her away from the Throat of the World, basically making you fail your attempt to make this exploit work, cause you will lose a lot of time to search her. SO, just moments before Alduin eats and kill her, and when they are altready fighting, just type “prid 44446” and then “kill”. She will fist go down as an essential NPC and then, after few seconds, die. This will prevent her to be thrown away from the mountain.

Smack the hell out of her while shes in the middle of being ressurected. That should make her hp below zero before she finishes getting up and make the wabbajack work. Thats what worked for me. If you deal too low of damage, turn the difficulty down. you have to get her below 0 health before she stands up all the way before the wabbajack will work for transformations. IMAcobra on youtube discovered the mechanic and posted about it in his savos aren dead thrall video. He also discovered how to keep psijic robes. Hes up there with sickliff and leopold when it comes to glitch hunting in skyrim. He just doesnt have a lot of subs yet.

I have been trying for over 3 hours. i did manage to transmogrify her to a chicken just once in that time. Much like in this video i got a kill cam for it, but apparently felldir died.... So alduin never got sent forward in time, meaning the scene never ended, and i had to reset. It was very upsetting. It seems to me though that getting a kill cam is probably part of the requirement for transmogrifying her, although im not sure why. Because ive hit her with the wabbajack hundreds of times now and it always just does damage except for the one time i got the kill cam. That would be a hell of a coincidence if it is one. PS: for anyone struggling with the timing. Wait one hour to miss your wedding during the white screen. Your whole screen should be white right as you hit the wait button. If done properly the audio should glitch slightly right as you hit the wait key. If the audio doesnt cut out for a split second, you will not have player controlls and will need to try again. Also be in 3rd person before reading the scroll. Itll put you back in 1st person anyways. i cant say for sure its necesary, but thats what worked for me. For me the real struggle is transmogrifying her at all.

Right when you activate the elder scroll wait a day for your wedding to fail.

Right as the screen turns white after reading the scroll, hit the wait button, but do not actually wait yet. if timed properly the audio cuts out for a split second. literally just a fraction of a second, but youll hear it. if you dont hear it, reset so as not to waste time. if you do hear it though, wait until the little tune ends indicating you are now in the past, while the wait screen is still up..... and THEN wait an hour. This is the most consistant way. For some reason the timing for missing a wedding with dragon scrolls is much much tricker than black books.

it works. its actually much much easier than this. i could thrall miraak 3 dozen times before getting this to work. The glitch in this video is insanely difficult to pull off. ive spent 7 hours so far and no luck. miraak was comparably very very easy to get.

Vyrthur is good. He’s base level 15. Salonia Caelia and Veezara are good too at their base levels.

If playing anniversary edition get erden revel. Get him early though, hes twice the PC level so you basically have to just get 100 conjuration OR the staff of worms right off the bat. He apparently summons seekers too, just like miraak.

@@leopoldstotch711 agreed, vyrther has a unique ancient frost atronach which is kinda cool. You can also get orchender at lvl 12, so you could also get him by lvl 15. Hes honestly my favorite. Hes utterly immune to magic, and teleports and heals at the same time. He also has a vomit "shout". Are there better thralls, yes, but hes still a "go to" thrall of mine.

I cannot get her to transform because the Wabbajack just kills her. The wiki says that dead thrills can't be transformed with the Wabbajack, so I cannot figure out how you managed to do that. I can't find any information about this anywhere other than here, so sorry for commenting a few months later

The Wabbajack's effect is random, so just keep trying until you get a transformation. Also, I didn't dead thrall Gormlaith, but used the Ritual Stone to resurrect her, so it's slightly different.

You miss the wedding during the white screen just before entering the past. wait till the screen goes white to hit the wait key. If the sound cuts out for a fraction of a second it worked and youll have controls during the cutscene.

You can achieve this by attacking Gormlaith as she is being reanimated. If you are playing on console, you can check her health to see if it is below zero.

She transformed very frequently once her health was below 0 though and i got her in 3 tries. Alduin threw her off the mountain one of those tries though, so one of those hardly counts IMO lol. anyways i noticed that her sword no longer stays past the cutscene like it used too, so i was reaaaally worried anniversary patched this or something. Glad it still works. Im actually playing on yuzu (switch emulator) on my phone. updated with the most recent february update of skyrim. if it works for me it should work for anyone.
