Making Monorail overpowered might be faster to set up, but it's difficult to beat near infinite damage.

This is the best in-depth science of this game's mechanics/jank I've seen. And using it to find the maximum damage value was a fun way to take it further. Great explanation and presentation.

Much appreciated! I'm not too fond of having to use cheats to demonstrate it, but I wasn't keen on spending two weeks using relics non-stop. (Fun Fact: To reach the True maximum damage for guts, it would require you to use the relic generator method non-stop over multiple years.)

It's especially funny when you consider that, technically, every part of this exploit is the result of the game 'working as intended' (Except perhaps the Black Greatsword's grey health conversion, but the true effect is so specific it's hard to believe it's a mistake) .

That's odd. Far as I know there shouldn't be any reason playing on Console would prevent it from working. Have you tried both generator methods and/or putting Guts on a different weapon? Failing that, I'd try equipping the Ring of the Damned just to check if Grey Health is secretly capped on PS5. Let me know if any of these helped.

Certainly in terms of attack, but one bad hit and you could lose all your power instantly. If only there was a second exploit that would give you his durability as well. Can't say I've found one yet, but Warden was the last class added to the game. There's may be a chance it's still hiding something...

I only used it at a relatively weak strength for all my footage, so I manage to avoid that happening. However, due to the process required to have Guts reach it's maximum damage I wouldn't be surprised if it became one of the side effects, along with the desire to be a hero for fun.
