I had covid & have been suffering from fatigue, brain fog, breathlessness, tinnitus, rapid heart beat, gastrointestinal issues & chest tightness. To all those people who are suffering long covid we will recover, it’s a slow process but we will recover. Keep positive & safe :-)

@@maryamna2079 I’m sorry to hear you are very worried. It is a horrible illness & a horrible post covid symptoms after .......I too was scared having covid & have continued to feel worried with my ongoing symptoms since. But Maryam Na try & stay positive as we will eventually get better. Rest is essential to your recovery. Eat lots of fruit & vegetables. Take Vitamin D3 4000 IU intake & Vitamin C & Zinc to help rebuild your immune system. The post covid symptoms we are experiencing may take some time to go, but try & stay positive & remember we will get better.

My Long COVID battle started last year in January with extreme fatigue, sleeping issues, breath shortness, joint pain, brain fog, inflammation, heart and blood circulation problems and a whole range of allergies which I never had before. Now, one year later, I slowly feel much better and back to life, except for ongoing inflammation in my body. My doctor misdiagnosed my brain fog for dementia and also prescribed psycho pills .......

I have terrible shortness of breath and fatigue,. It has ruined my life. I cannot even take the garbage out without getting so out of breath I can hardly speak. I am a nurse and got Covid twice, was off work without pay and now am practically debilitated and still have to work bc they cannot diagnose it. (thank you Biden, nurses risking their health for the health of others while everyone else got to stay home safe and get paid!). It has made me bitter and depressed. I was a healthy active person before this. Now I feel like I am 90 years old.

Whether it's the Wa Post, NBC, ABC News etc. they all say the symptoms could be permanent. It's like, why are they telling me this when they actually don't have a clue? They're putting something distressing out there knowing nothing. And of course so many of these news outlets go out and find the worst case examples and they were always athletic before COVID.

This year is 3 years with long Covid. I was never sick with Covid during that time. I did experience some mild cold symptoms early 2020, but nothing serious. Shortly after I began having heart palpitations, my thyroid was affected, & I had debilitating weakness & heavy limbs after a light work day & especially after workouts. I had to stop working out completely. I get brain fog, my joints ache randomly, I get weakness & pins & needles in my limbs among many other debilitating symptoms. I was recently diagnosed by a hematologist, who based upon my complaints, was able to figure out what no other dr could in the last 3 years smh. I’m young & want to get back to going to the gym. I’m tired of getting sick constantly ( fevers, cold symptoms ect) and having all of the other symptoms. This has severely, negatively impacted my quality of life. Will it ever go away?

@Freddie1M
@Freddie1M 2 жыл бұрын
@@ravikiran9376 Same here, I had Covid and really didn't feel too bad, just tired, a bit of cold symptoms and a day and a half of moderate headaches. Then I felt myself getting better after a week or so, particularly I noticed I would improve faster if I stopped working. Then I got to a point where I nearly felt fully recovered, so I went back to working harder, but then my improvement plateaued, didn't think much of it, basically I was thinking it's fine if I continue working hard, I will just overcome like any other cold I have been through. I then had a few days where I felt almost completely better, but then all of a sudden I started to develop a cough with some mucus, and it's really bothering me. Also to add, before getting covid I didn't feel great physically anyway, and I think the vaccines had fucked something up, it's ever since I started taking them, I just don't feel right, my circadian rythms are completely fucked up and won't seem to normalise as fast as they would if I would stay up late some nights and return to normal, I could get back to feeling tired at night time, rather than half way through the day, and feeling wide awake at bed time. But now with this cough I have I also feel like my head is going to explode, it's not a headache or anything, it just feels unhealthy, hard to explain, but something isn't right. I also have weird aches and pains popping up below my left rib and my chest feels tight. I also feel like when I try and sleep on my side that I'm going to have a heart attack or that some organ is going to collapse, sounds weird, but there is this constant sense of worry when I try and sleep now, because my breathing feels restricted in some way, this could also be due to poor posture because I don't recall when this started (could have been before catching Covid and taking the vaccines), but I wouldn't be surprised if Covid or the vaccines have caused this. Would appreciate to hear if anyone has can relate to this and if they have managed to find a solution?

@@Freddie1M is your mucas somewhat sticky sometimes? it’s like a tickle right in your throat? Yours sounds similar to mine i think stress and anxiety of having covid in the past doesn’t help. I’ve been getting panic attacks or small ones sometimes because i’ll take a deep breathe in and when i try to like get over the breathe like the pushing out after you take a deep breathe it doesn’t feel right like sometimes i feel i can get a deep breathe and then other times feel like i can’t. I usually look up breathing exercises or try to occupy my mind or watch something to take my mind off it. Like i feel like i get a lot of mucas dripping down and it’s sticky so i usually drink a lot of water to thin it out and eat cough drops and use a humidifier sometimes and drink hot tea with cinnamon honey and ginger, they help with loosening mucas and inflammation. But i’ve had spells where i’ll keep clearing my throat and sometimes i’ll feel mucas loosen and other times not but it’s scary sometimes, and i’ll get chest pain sometimes and feel like my heart hurts. I looked up a thing and it might be dyspnea. But i’m going to see a ear nose and throat doctor next week anyway because i’ve had nasal problems even before covid but maybe he can help me some. I might have to go to the pulmonary doctor too. I just hope covid ends soon i’m so tired of hearing about it. My whole family got it around christmas time like christmas eve but my sister still has no taste much. crazy stuff i just hope we all get better and things get a little better in the world.

It’s only been a little over two weeks since I’ve tested positive and I definitely feel better but I still feel the breathlessness, I have a random rapid heart beat, occasional intense migraines, and extreme fatigue and malaise. All I want to do is sleep. I’ve taken a nap every day for the last week up to 4-5 hours on some days and I wake up just as tired. I’m fighting it right now as I type this and caffeine or taking walks does nothing for me. The thing that is so frustrating is at the peak of my symptoms it hurt to breathe even laying down. My chest was aching and I was struggling to get air, yet when I went to the doctor she helped me none. I was in and out of the appointment in 15 minutes. They pretty much only took my vitals and gave me a Covid test. She prescribed me steroids and that’s it. At that time I had diarrhea, headaches so intense I couldn’t move my eyes, nausea, fever, fatigue, congestion, a hoarse voice, and I really couldn’t breathe. I went in to the appointment fully expecting to be given oxygen or something. The pulse oximeter showed 87. However I had fake nails on so she couldn’t tell if it was a accurate reading. She told me my lungs “sounded perfect”.🙄 Weird though because she didn’t listen to my lungs from my back and only my chest for a few seconds. I honestly think they just wanted to go home. I was miserable the last two weeks recovering at home and I ended up hacking up all kinds of mucus so I don’t know how my lungs sounded perfect. Anyone else feel like everyone only cares about Covid right now and not actual care.😕

So I started taking a lot of vitamins , especially C and D3, supplements, enzymes and minerals and anti-inflammatory drugs. Long COVID started right after my booster vaccination, and my doctor was not quite sure whether it was only Long COVID or also the side effects of the vaccination.

I don’t know if this relates, but I’ve gotten mild Rhabdomyolysis (Rhabdo for short), TWICE since getting over COVID. I was feeling fine until I went back to work. I stock groceries and general merchandise overnights at Walmart. At first I thought I just had some sort of wrist sprain. I’d take a deep breath in and I’d feel a slight burning coming up from my fingers to my wrist, and later up to the middle of my forearm. I took 2 weeks off of work to recover. I came back to work, worked for 3 weeks and experienced the symptoms again. I never had this until AFTER getting COVID.. It feels like if my body doesn’t wanna recover as fast as it used to. My doctor told me that it would take a few months for me to get back to my old-self. Post-COVID symptoms last a few months according to her. I don’t have brain fog, loss of senses, tinnitus, fatigue.. I do have an irregular heartbeat though. Everyone has it differently. I might have to be on blood thinners on the meantime to reduce the risk of blood clots. I hear about so many people going to natural blood thinners like nattokinase and helping with fatigue.

Had covid 3 times now. 31 months later after 1st infection and still have got the fatigue. Now with a heart problem which I didn't have before. Shortness of breath has got better. But walking around and heart rate goes up is now still a big issue. I do everything more slowly. Insomnia is bad. Sleep can go down to just a couple of hours a night. And 1 night a month I may manage 8 hours sleep. Still getting pains in arms, headaches and generally feeling unwell every single day.

@@Thefroggang101 well today I've had my heart checked over and they couldn't find anything serious. But got chest pain which is possibly Costochondritis. Asking Doctor about this tomorrow. Not got shortness of breath anymore as I upped my Vitamin D to 1,000mg a day. But have many areas of pain which is hiding under my skin inside either my bones or muscles. Going to ask about this. Still got the insomnia. Had a cold a week or 2 ago when weather was cold. First cold since 2019. Had my covid and flu jabs. The pain under the skin is hiding in my arms, legs, spine, back of thighs. Shoulders. It's only when I press on my skin that I find these spots of pain. Feels like bruises but you can't see them on the skin. Unless I bump into something then they quickly appear. Over 70 different symptoms of Long Covid so far. I'm used to it changing to something else. The chest pain was sternum pain. Which is still niggerling. 33 months Long Covid now. The pain in my chest seems to be working its way outwards and my upper body feels heavier and like I can feel my own skeleton. Odd feeling. But didn't have a heart attack back in September 2022. But caught covid for the 3rd time 4 days layer after being at the hospital for 8 hours in A&E. Had to wait for results of blood test which was looking for evidence of heart attack. I was fine while sat at the reception. It still a guessing game until Doctor tells me something conclusive. It's just my little alien 👽 covid moving around in my body and making things flare up one after another.

What causes the most flair ups with me is the inflammation. So i cut out all sugar and pasta and breads. No coffee and only drink water. Sugar and carbs causes inflammation and you dont want that. I take k2 vitamin d3 and magniusm as well. I also load up on very large doses of vitamin c thought out the day. I take ginger and tumeric as well. I eat nothing but fish chicken and veggies thats it. I cant tell you how much this has lessoned the symptoms for me. Anyone that has long covid lnows how terrible it is. It makes you lose hope and want to give up. Janybek, thanks for asking. Through the summer, until July I had terrible random pain as above. Then I decided to try Alpha Lipoic Acid because it’s often recommended for neuropathies. Within 8-10 days I had improvement. Stayed on full dose over 2 months, then tried to decrease it, but ended up pain starting to return, so back to full dose. I still have days where I’m very tired and some days where I can complete some tasks, then need a nap to get through day. And occasionally a really good few days. Overall I’m improved,but it’s a long process. In late August I got where I routinely walked 30 min on treadmill then had to step back but hoping to start increasing again. Interesting side note, about a week after P1 I had a very high BP for few hours and was in ER. They found nothing but the elevated BP. Then just as suddenly it went down. Happens again 5 days later. They said it could not be the Jab. A few times since, it has happened again. Never in nearly 30 years of recording my BP have I had that happen. Originally my DR said no connection to vax. Now he says, oh yes, we have see it happen in a number of people so he advised no more vax for me. So I keep on moving forward.

It might take a long long time..I am in my second year..but increasingly I get better.I still have waves of illness that scare the bejeebers out of me, but I recover faster each time. This is truly one of the most frightening illnesses I have ever had. ‘Debilitating’ hardly covers it, because you have such little control over the infection. But, Long Covid? That you do have more control over. Be completely kind to yourself, keep a positive outlook, don’t push the river.

I made a comment a while back on experimenting with water fasting to combat my Long Covid. I was suffering with debilitating fatigue and PEM that would leave me unable to do the laundry. Breathlessness, the lot. Life felt on hold for the best part of a year. I did a 3 day water fast (with salt/electrolytes), and can now happily say my condition is cured. Resolved 95% within a week of the fast, brief minor recurrence of very mild fatigue for a few days here and there, now 100% gone. Just a case of rebuilding strength and cardio now. Can do full strength training sessions as per pre Covid, no PEM to speak of. I’d highly recommend people to try this, with proper research and advice from a doctor. Any questions, I’ll do my best to help. May everyone recover as fast as possible. Cheers 🙂

Yes, I have severe asthma and I have long Covid from a current strand that attacks the lungs. Taking deep breaths in and holding for about 4 seconds seems to help. I repeat 4 or 5 times. Also I have to use asthma medication like an in hailer which opens up airways. Try to see your doctor and see if they can give you something for your airways.
