I'm familiar with this issue; I was bullied throughout my childhood as well as early adulthood. I do see bullies and bullying in the adult world, sadly. My family and I dealt with a next-door female "neighbor" who was aggressive, nosy, creepy, obsessive, and narcissistic, and tried invading all of our personal space, even trespassing into my family's private backyard. She just couldn't leave us (later, me), ALONE. I don't understand why she was always in my face. I often cannot help but place bullies in the "terrorist" category. Bullies feed off the negative reactions of their victim(s). Bullies will harrass, terrorize their target. Thank you, Jenna, for this important and informative podcast!

Omg so sorry you've had to deal with this crazy woman! I can completely relate to this just not on the exact scale. It honestly comes down to jealousy. She's clearly met you and was drawn to you and your beautiful energy and it made her feel less than because she was intimidated by it or it's something she doesn't have in herself. Her being a horrible psychopath is her way of projecting how unhappy she is in herself! I'm going through a similar situation with my neighbour (also a female) except we share the same property so I have to deal with her in a closer proximity. She started off being super nice but a little obsessive with me, wanting to be my best friend and know every single little thing about me (from what I'm eating for lunch to what perfume I'm wearing). It then went to unloading all her dramas and coming to me for advice. From there I was lending her things all the time. Eventually I felt taken advantage of and got irritated so snapped then all hell broke lose. I tried to gently communicate with her but there's no rationalising with people like this. She was nasty and put me down. Then came petty immature behaviour to try get a reaction from me. She's made claims against me, spreading rumours about me in her little home hair salon..it has drained me to the max. Personally, the lesson I can take away from this is not having firmer boundaries with her or being assertive enough. I'm a classic people pleaser and am always afraid to hurt peoples feelings but after this experience enough is enough - I'm taking my power back. Hopefully you can put her in her place or call in some higher help. 💖💖

I was bullied so badly and my childhood I can't begin to explain what they did to me emotionally. Absolutely the childhood bullies grow up to be adult bullies and it happened in adulthood lucky when we are adults we can step away

bullies are very easy to deal with. You fight back. they are not used to being prey. You go after them and it scares the hell out of them. they also fear violence. You make them fear you.

I was bullied physically when I was 14. (High school) This kid would punch and "knee" me in the legs etc everytime he walked passed me in the hallway. It was very damaging from a range of perspectives. I was scared of him. One day my Father told me to punch him back as much as I could if he did it again. This was after several months. So I did.....one day when he attacked me, I grabbed him by the lapels and forced him backwards out a door and repeatedly punched him in the face....many times, maybe 20. He remained standing. He fought back. He beat me up badly. That happened in front of many students who had gathered to watch. I ran out of energy and could no longer fight. He treated me as a punching bag before giving me a hard head butt. I had to say "I give up". No more. He won. I never got over that. I'm now 55.

90% of sibling abuse comes from older male siblings carried out by younger female siblings. Yeah, as soon as my Dad died, my 2 older brothers & wives shunned & ostracized me from inheritance. Its been 2 years. The police had to stop them at least 5 times in less than 1 year. They Found an attorney who went along with their shunning plan, exclude me from every penny that had my name on it. And there "were no wills" I FOUND THE WILLS WHICH NAMED ME AS EQUAL CO EXECUTOR WITH EQUAL SHARES. SELFISH BASTARDS!!!! THEY MOB BULLIED ME, GOT ALL THE FAMILY AGAINST ME. THEY ENJOY HURTING ME. WHAT LOOOOOOSERS. Its still ongoing and is a nightmare. My Mom and Dad died within 7mo.
