I meant to mention this in the video. Clive's PHX 4 will counter hit armor attempts for a free follow up for Clive. It's about 30 ish damage/heat engager. Please consider this as you use these lines of play. Armor is a good option to deal with Clive's options, and then look for the lows adamantly since those call out the armor etc. Thanks!

That's a really good perspective. Motivating. We can't remove Clive from the game but we can work to make playing him less and less appealing by understanding the matchup.

I mention on hit at the end of the video briefly but I didn't mention options because there aren't any I could find that cover the situation better than blocking. Unfortunately he transitions at +14 alot on hit, so you can't step or armor. The option becomes block mid or block low. However, Clive does have moves like 1,1 that are +6 on HIT into PHX in which case it's the same on block situation that I highlighted here in my video.

Unfortunately no. WR2 is +14 on block into PHX, so the choices are to block mid or block low. Small silver lining is that WR2 is extremely linear.

Very useful video, what an annoying and despicable character, so poorly designed it reminds me of all the worst DLC chars from 7 and how unhealthy they were for the game's legacy.
