I watched this through the lens of a depression I've been not even struggling with but ignoring and hiding away in the way you described, and your talk brought me to tears. This hit me at the right time. Thank you Paradox, I hope to see you live one day and thank you for everything you do.

Hi guys, it's been forever! This ask a paradox was very personal and took me a long time to make. Not because of editting but because the process what something I had to go through myself. However now that I am at a further state I can look back and share important lessons I have learned myself through the process. I hope they help some of you guys out! Dealing with setbacks and injuries is such a slippery slope. There is not tutorial om how to get outoff the gutter like that haha. Sorry for the editing mistakes, really sloppy from my side. Hopefully the info still comes across proper!

You are a true human being. I deal with something for years but I still trust every day, that God is leading me to better tomorrow. I believe that one day I will shine very bright light and reveal tears of joy when it happens, not forgetting that every day I can find my happiness through acceptance of the process and simple moments with people around me. Thank you!

Thanks Paradox got a slight knee injury a few weeks ago and felt like my dance journey was over for a few days and felt like I was lost, but then my little sister whose a big fan of mine and always backs me to get better just told me to keep dancing and push forward and now I find myself new paths in my dancing and movement and I've also realised my lack of patience and even flaws in my technique and practice that were putting me at risk and I'm starting to feel and renewed value in my dance and the gift of being able to dance. As you said setbacks have a way of revealing weaknesses in our character or mindset. Hope you have a full recovery and you back to having the fullness of expression you've always strived for.

Probably the best natural flow I've seen in a human when you dance. It's not something that you can practice..you just born with it. When I was a kid I used to want to be able to move exactly like you and it's warm just watching you. Best with your recovery and wish you strength in potential new opportunities that may not even be dancing. Ta for vids

I don’t know how did you made it. But you created this video just at the perfect moment when I needed it. Suffered an injury a month ago(also an ankle) and it it’s not getting better, about what I am so confused about. Of course you can’t compare it with two and a half years, but maybe I can learn from your story, to deal with it as well as you did. Amazing respect to you about how dedicated and patient you are to setback and not jump on the stage before time, as I want it to do myself. I hope that it will help me, and will change my mindset about it and apprieciate that proccess, and will learn from your, other and mine mistakes also. Thank you for always being the greatest example. As I suffered my injury. From day one and even before I always had looked up to you as an example, because your situation are so similar to mine, and we both are part of dance world. And how smart you are, to understand all these things. Incredible. Get well, want to see more updates from your rehabilitation and getting back on the stage. Love and peace Kevin!

( I am French sorry for my English ) All my support, you have been my source of inspiration and motivation. I did breakdance for seven years, but I had to stop because of my wrists, the doctor told me to stop to save my wrists. I started newtyle dance when I was 24, but thanks to my experience in breakdance. I’m progressing fast and I like it. Thank you for everything and good recovery.

You'll be fine. You know what, even if you're stiff for a while, even if you're physically limited a bit, and I know you'll get over it, but even if it stuck, you'd still be a beautiful dancer. That comes from your mind. You could move us if you only had one leg. Don't sweat it.

Hey Paradox thanks for sharing your situation with us. I highly recognize my self in your video (i had knee injury since 2017) and i went through the denial stage where i continued doing martial arts and basket-ball despite the pain during month and because of that the rehab process was way longer. I now see clearly what i want to be in the future and i see this injury as a warning who said to me "hey bro, hold on, calm down and take a seat it's ok you're gonna heal but now that your movement are restrained let's think clearly about what do you want to do with your life and how you want to do it..." So maybe without this injury i would have done something i didn't wanted to do because i was too focused on doing sport or maybe i would have injured myself even badly... In both cases it helped me to take a step back and watch the big picture so it's a win-win 🤷‍♂️ 2 quotes from my favorite author helped me a lot with my situation : " If you only walk in sunny days you will never reach your destination" " There are days that life is about dreams, goals, brightness and there are days that life is just about putting a foot in front of the other and continue walking - there is nothing wrong about it" (Both quotes from Paulo Coelho 👌). Again thanks for sharing Paradox hope you'll heal soon, peace 🙏

Hi Kevin, I got a question. Muscle soreness is something you can't really avoid at some point. I was wondering if you should keep going if your muscles ache or if you should take a break? I can't imagine that if you dance as a profession, you take a break every time your muscles ache but on the other hand isn't it bad for your muscles to not let them rest?

I don’t know If I’m too late to ask. I don’t know If you already covered it either. I wanted to ask where the hip-hop method (If it is a method.) comes from? I hear a lot about groove, bounce, and rocks. I don’t see many people teach or talk it though unless It’s in an actual class. Where is that from? The history of that and how do I learn it? Is it a specific order or is there a certain trading method?

Hey Kevin. I'm really confused as a intermediate level dancer. I do not know what to be thinking of during my dance round. Do I think of the music? Do I think of the moves? Or do I think of how I feel? What are you thinking of when you freestyle?
