i started to do multiplications in my head. all match long. takes your mind off & makes you follow your instincts

If it works for you, great (and I'm saying that earnestly, no irony in my comment). But a better way would be to be focused on what you have to do. Being concentrated on multiplications helps to prevent you from negative thoughts I imagine but it also prevents you from thinking tactics and what task is at hand. On the other hand, like you suggested, it can be better to not consciously think about what you have to do. So I imagine the best method would be to take the advantages from both worlds.

This is quite interesting. You can see the difference between the 2 girls, 2 different personalities and Patrick speaks with the one that has the "problem " and he was funny and gives a positive attention to the other girl that is kind of bored with all this discussion. I hope the other girl remembers allbthis discussion when she has a bad day. Patrick is a very good psychologist without diploma

Very interesting video. Although I have the feeling that I go from 0 or let's say a very low level of anger to a 100 when I miss a 'not missable shot" (like a finish volley), especially if the point was important. So there is a gradation of anger sure, but it's an exponential gradation and not in a linear curve fashion.

I Play well when my coach is positive, understanding and constructive. I had a bad coach before when learning in Hong Kong who made insults and spiteful remarks. That is not a coach and its best to find another one. Hong Kong tutors are notoriously insulting and patronising, I hope they can learn from Europeans, they're helpful and show true coaching.

I would like to know how to play tennis on a surface that you can't even feel the ball on the strings clear because the ball is feeling instead all dull and too soft on the strings instead of feeling all hard and crisp so its hard to throw the racquet on a ball that is feeling all soft and dull like this........

My 8 and half years old boy has similar but opposite story and If you have any advice, please let me know. It has been a year since my son started playing in Junior development and 10 and under tennis tournaments. Win or lose but I always love the efforts he puts in for every match. I have noticed a pattern in his matches though that he always starts slows meaning not having a lead and having few points down. When he is at the last game he suddenly lifts up his performance and wins the match. Many of the time he was like 5-1 down and won 7-5 or 6- 2 down and won 9-8. I have suggested him many times that he should be more alert from the beginning so he has chance winning more matches. Because it is a big risk to try and come back in the match at last two games. I don't understand what goes in his mind whether he needs time to understand and adjust to opponent's skills or he is not focused from very beginning. Do you have any idea why is it like that? He kind gives me panic at last point..lol I felt like he lost it now but he fights like a warrior and next he goes on winning but he can't always win matches like that. Please provide any suggestions you have Sir. Thank you

I think Aliens is rated R, which means “not suitable for children under 18 years old.”
