I don't think confronting the person will do anything. I mean it's their mouth and it runs when it wants too and there's no stopping it. Even if you do confront the person, they won't stop. Confronting will just make things even bigger. IMO

Someone at school who i really trusted and thought was my friend called me stupid but funny. She also called me weird. I want to walk up to her and say, " If you're so confident why don't you call me stupid to my face? Why can't you just tell me. I don't see why you're acting like this. I really thought I could trust you. But I guess not. I knew you would end up throwing me away like this just like you do with everyone else. I hate going to school. I’m okay with a few people talking behind my back but when it’s a reoccurring thing then it’s starts to bother me. This is the silliest advice I've ever heard. If someone is talking badly behind your back the first thing you should do is confront them, preferably in front of the people they are talking to so that you send the message that you're aware of it and that you're the one in control of the situation. Secondly, you definitely don't then go and "be nice & friendly" to the person talking behind your back - friendship is the last thing a backstabber deserves, and they're just likely to continue screwing you over because you'll make yourself appear weak.

Simple way to stop this: "Don't revolt. Don't give any reaction. Avoid these people. These things are most commons between friends. So take your time to choose your friends. If you're new to school, don't rush into making friends. Observe their behaviours. Then make friends. " If you need help, reply and I'll help you.

First of all thank you for making this vid it has helped me out. Secondly, my "friends" are saying I'm gay behind my back but I'm not and I tell them that but they don't listen. They keep doing this and it's getting to me but it be because their own insecurities but, on the other hand it might be because one of them does it and then they all do it so that the others don't pick on them. IT SUCKS SO MUCH TO BE THE ONE WHO IS THE OUTSIDERS while they are hanging out with each other right now and they didn't invite me and for all I know they might be talking about me right now. One of my friends started to have the habit of yelling at me for no reason, getting an attitude with me and talking behind my back..he even pushed me once (yeah it's a gay and I think he is gay, "~nothing again gays~ I just think he is) ..... This makes me feel a bit better. I am a figure skater and one of the coaches laughs at me while I do my program. I assume he tells his students about it too because they also laugh at me with him. Now I just hate my program. I used to stare at him, but now I’ll try to smile more. I hope nobody else goes through this either, because it is very uncomfortable. If you think something is talking about you, my advice is to confront them because it may have just been a misunderstanding and that's not worth ruining a friendship over!

Someone talk behind my back at work, when I didn't know them. I just be quiet and let my "bosses" pick up on it. The employee got fired the next day for spreading rumors about other employees and myself. That is how the cookie crumbles. Boss comes and question me, I just say "I don't know, I am here to do my job."

In 5th grade I was a loner at start. I never talked, I had no friends. I met this really nice guy and he’s still my best friend to this day. He had another best friend before me and she was very close to him until I became his best friend. It was like she just drifted away from him. When I got to 6th grade I had this girl say something bad about me and I told my best friend. He responded with telling me that his other best friend left him because she didn’t like me and told everyone that I was a lesbian when I was not. He then told me again that some other girls from another group I don’t even know who are apparently talked to me which was not true. They said I talked a lot, which for my antisocial self that was the craziest thing I’ve ever heard even for my best friend.

My friend talks behind my back ALL THE TIME and she thinks it won't get around to me, but it always does. The people she tells actually come to me and tell me because they know I'm a genuine person. Should I leave the friend group all together? I don't think I can be around that negativity anymore...please help. (Also I don't really want to talk to her about it because tbh she's not really worth my time anymore and I don't want to be her friend anymore. My only problem is that we are in the same friend group so I don't know if I should just leave it or not...)

the problem i have is that they make up a lie, run it all over the place, so whenever i meet someone new, first few days they are good, the 4th they they are instantly away i ask them why and they said 'x' told me. like why? idc what you think about me but you are affecting other people that will possibly become my good friend

My friends and I have a grouochat, and lately one of my friends began to gossip abow another friend, but I didnt wanted to, so I just said, Yeah i dont really cate cuz I do that too. but we were in a conversation and they just stopped sending things for like a good minute. so I said, I know you guys are gossiping about me but idc cuz I luv you guys. they replied not saying Yes we gossiped, but they didnt deny it, so I said. wait u guys dint even deny it, omfg I was right. and they said whatever. I felt bad but.. I knew it all along..
