I had a friend who became a mom 9 months before me. I felt that she constantly wanted to share her parenting opinions, however, I had never asked once. We ended uo arguing about a gift she gave me because I had never used it and didn't see the need to out of preference. It has kind of tainted our relationship and removed openness but i prefer it this way. Our experiences are different and i needed an ear to listen not a radio

Why parents give advice because there parents didn't give advice/attention when they were that young. It depends also.
