Some people have a hard time knowing who their pursuers are so here are some tips! 1. Whispers will sound in the background. The louder the whisper, the closer your pursuer. 2. Observe how NPC's act on their own compared to how you and other players act (such as walking routes or abruptly changing direction of where the persona is walking). 3. Fast walking is a function that only players are able to execute. If a persona's strides are long and fast compared to other personas, it's a player using the Fast Walk function. Practice the difference between Fast Walk and normal walking. The change in animation is apparent. 4. Go to an isolated location. In secluded areas such as a map's corner will point out who is walking toward you. This tactic can be risky though because you are obvious to everyone. 5. When a character's hand stretches out and the five fingers spread about, this is a dead giveaway. When you are locked on a target out of killing range but press the attack button, you will notice that your character's left hand will be outstretched as if activating a Hidden Blade. 6. Try walking in different routes. If you are blended in a walking crowd, observe which persona is conveniently "there". Again, a persona who just changes walking directions are a dead giveaway. A nice early setup is disguise and time warp.. Using disguise is a no brainer but get your persuer to follow you into a crowd and drop your time warp. It breaks their lock so once you keep a NPC between you too the stun will always work.

Fun fact about me: I got AC4:BF and palyed multiplayer. I got in a Deathmatch mode, there were a lot of high leveled players at that time. When the match ended, I was in 3rd place. Pretty proud of myself.

I think the best abilities for you to use is disguise and morph because mainly it will protect you from pursuers for a short time and also throwing knives and time phase are best to put into your set

WingSpan, just thought you should know, Knife Stuns no longer work the same way. The range of "influence" that used to get shortened by knives are no longer shortened. Thus, getting a Knife Stun is actually more about luck now. Although, I've heard that there is a bug that apparently allows you to still knife stun randomly, but the devs are working on removing it. Just FYI, in case you realize that knife stunning isn't working as well.

No, in fact they are a kind of penalty for high profile assassinations. If you get an Incognito kill, your character will perform a much more subdued animation.

Big help, but still have major problems. Mainly with larger maps. This stuff works great and all for that room, but large maps are absolutely ridiculous. Nearly impossible to keep a track on your pursuer let alone actually lock them while they're in a pile so you don't go smacking civies. It's a good thing I'm only after the trophies - I absolutely abhor the controls and the weighty movement.

So I have only played AC games at a friends and we do multiplayer and campaign, but I am just worried about being able to adapt from AC3 to AC4 as I don't own the game so I am not used to the controls of AC3, let alone AC4. aerial kills are when you're high up waiting, acrobat is running up a wall and pulling them down or jumping over a box and leap killing them.
