Thank you, very helpful. Was thinking I'd probably be based in NYC, Orlando or Boston.

Hi,I leave for training on the 14th with OO and have been watching your videos. I find them super helpful very honest and straight forward. I live in LA. Would you say still putting this as my #1 would be worth it? I totally understand that it is a high seniority base for most airlines but I’d figure I’d still try….trying to get all this done before leaving for training so it’s not a stressor

Yes, definitely still put it down as your first choice because anything could happen. Also, once you graduate, continue to request a transfer until you get what you want. Your next options should be based on most commutable/ practical.

@@realpristine thank you! Yes that’s what I’m planning. Im thinking about making my list based on 1.short flight times 2.number of flights that leave in a day Thankfully I live REALLY close to BUR and there’s a ton of flights that fly out to near by bases during anday

IAH is not a base for American it's DFW and you will have to commute.

i know this is an old video but is Detroit a popular base? is it more junior/ senior? is it easier to get based in Detroit?
@realpristine Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure, I know it’s a small base though. I say, still request to be based their if you desire to be there ✨

Hey quick question so Im based in Stl,Missouri and I've been applying to different states airlines. What are some suggestions and tip you have for me? Watching this video makes me feel like I made a bad decision.
@realpristine2 жыл бұрын
Heyy! I personally did not enjoy commuting , it was stressful and lowered my quality of life. Living in base is ideal but you should try out commuting and see how you like it. There are others who don’t mind it. When I did commute, it was 3 hours 🥴 I think I would have been happier if it was a 30 minute flight so that’s why I say in the video “the distance” of commuting plays a part.

@@realpristine awesome! Another question.. since I’m based in STL and if I get the job that are based in another state miles away. Are the flights paid for when commuting to work? or how does that work? I know it’s best to live close to base

@@miaalexander6258 WHEN you get the job, your flights will be free🤑👏🏾
