This is a genius idea. I've seen others take flocked picks to give a green tree the flocked look, but that looks so time-consuming, not to mention expensive. This is such a better, more practical alternative. Thanks for sharing this idea with others. Have a Merry Christmas.

I've been doing trees for many many years even way before they were pre-lit I've had to wire lights on from a small tree to up to I've been up to about a 15 ft that's about its eyes I'll go but now they're pretty lit thank goodness and all I have to do is add my twinkling lights I do not like blinking and glow I like the twinkling it's soft it's very restful at night I love the flock tree but I'm finding a lot of the decorators now are taking a green tree that has a beautiful shape and flocking it other ways in that's fascinating to me it's giving me more ideas so thank you very much for bringing a flock tree in on a green tree

I love this tree too. I really like the idea of adding the flocked garland. Maybe next year I'll do the garland with my green tree. My tree this year is an all flocked tree which I've been wanting for awhile now. I'm really enjoying all your tree colors and ideas. You have such a beautiful house. Have you ever used the dazzler Christmas lights? If not I would love to see what you could do with those lights for a tree sometime. They fit on the top of your tree and dangle down the tree. It makes your tree glow. You have a blessed day.

This really is such an easy way to make a tree look flocked. I have not used dazzler Christmas lights. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them in person. But thanks for the idea. I love adding lights to trees…I’m always looking for new, interesting ways. It’s been so fun sharing this passion with you! ❤️

You're so very welcome. I use two sets of the dazzler lights on my 7.5 Christmas tree. They have different settings for the motion and different colors. I saw them on tv years ago and thought WOW these are so different. I think you would love them. I don't think you could put them on a much larger tree they aren't that long. I would say 7.5 would be the highest you'll be able to go. You can get them on Amazon.

I ordered my first Flocked tree. I got it yesterday. And it's BEAUTIFUL. I have been warned about the mess. But mine made hardly any mess. Even pulling it out of the box and fluffing it. I was SO pleasantly surprised! Maybe it's the kind if "snow" that was used. But it barley left any mess when I was done. 👍

@@themadeupokie Yes. I put the lights on last night. A still didn't have much fall out at all. When you feel of it it's kinda like dried silly string. So it's stuck pretty well. But it dosent look gross like it sounds lol. I was just thinking about like snow in a can type stuff. 😂 My luck would have it.

@@themadeupokie YES.. I was looking at it tonight with just the lights thinking.. Do I HAVE to put on decorations? Just a big Burlap bow on top would be fine. But I don't know how the kids would like that... I could get like a little 4 foot tree in the dining room for all of their... ummm.. Interesting things they make at school every year for my tree😂😭 I got one today of a paper elf with my 6 year olds face glued to it. 😂👍😩🎄

You know rustic or natural or woodsy I love that but I like Glam too or shabby chic or farmhouse but my main thing is if I don't see ribbon I don't care if it's burlap on a tree I'm just not as interested there is something about fabric or ribbon it doesn't have to be ribbon it can be fabric woven through a tree or just you know doesn't have to have bows all the time but I just love ribbon I'm a ribbon freak that used to be my signature people loved my bows I still try to do them by hand even though I'm a little more handicapped I have neuropathy in my hands very badly so it's a little harder to make but I still try and I will always continue to try and that's why I'm watching your channel to perhaps see something will that will give me inspiration thanks again

That’s my excuse for decorating 6 trees in my house each year. 😊 If you like ribbon, you might enjoy my most recent video where I decorate my parents’ tree in navy, gold and champagne. The feature of that tree really is the ribbon, including big, dramatic bows for the tree topper. Sorry to hear about your neuropathy; I’m sure it’s hard to not be able to do something you enjoy very easily. But I hope you find the inspiration this season. Thanks for your comments. I’ve seen flocked garland at At Home before as well. It’s not as thick but it’s well priced for what it is and for this purpose that’s probably okay. I don’t think they sell their seasonal items online though so hopefully you have a store near you. I’ll spend some time looking for something similar on Amazon specifically and let you know if I find a new link.

Loved your woodland/rustic tree. You are a woman after my own heart. I also love to shop AFTER Christmas and have been scoring deals right and left. 80% off at Hobby Lobby, 75% off at Michaels, and 70-75% off at Pier One. This past season I did two trees; a Rustic/Woodland/Farmhouse theme (My first ever true theme tree) and a Glam Tree. Next year I am going to add a Dollar Store Challenge tree, and see how cheap I can decorate a beautiful tree. I do like your idea for flocking. The tree I used for my rustic tree didn't have flocking, I may have to borrow this idea for next Christmas. I saw the video of your main tree. Did you do videos for all 5 trees?

Sounds like we’ve got similar taste! I bet your trees looked amazing! And I love the idea of doing a Dollar Store tree. A beautiful tree really doesn’t require expensive ornaments or ribbon! I’ve done a little bit of after-Christmas shopping too. I’m excited about some new lights I picked up...I may have to try them out before I take my trees down! 😂 So far I’ve only done videos on 3 of my trees. This year I put up 6 in just my home! I also always put up multiple trees at my parents’ house as well. I’ll probably do another 2-3 videos when I decorate next year. It takes a LOT longer to decorate when you are also recording and have to worry about lighting, sound, focus and filling up a memory card. But it is so much fun to capture and share the process/results! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
