Thank you! I use thinner paper but you can use both thicker and thinner, it only matters when it is colored, it will need less paint application (if it is thinner paper) and more paint application if the paper is thicker. Be sure to try to feel the difference, you can't go wrong anyway.

You can As long as you keep freezing the cake in between adding the cream so it doesn’t go soft

You can definitely try but alcohol is used because it evaporates faster than water and in the end there is no alcohol in it.

Are you using regular rubbing alcohol? if so why, is there something food grade that can be used instead?
