How to decoupage bags 2023

Welcome back to ‪@suzyscrafts‬. I found these flax/sea grass bags at my local Op Shop (thrift store) and in this video I'll teach you how I turn them into really pretty bags using a simple decoupage technique. I use decoupage Rice Paper, glue, paints and varnish.
It's a simple craft and I'm sure you'll love doing it as much as I do.

These upcycled purses are so beautiful!! You are an impressive creator and your painting ability is better than you might think!! I love how you applied the paint, using the different coulors. @@suzyscrafts the weather here at the moment is very Autumnal so I'm thinking about Autumn decor you mentioned chopping boards im going to buy some cheap ones and paint with some sage chalk paint I have left and found some lovely pumpkin serviettes from last year I didnt use .. Love this, very pretty and I agree what wonderful gift bags ❤very lucky person who receives either one of these as a gift ❤️ could you tell me what paints you used…are they just acrylic or multi surface and do you seal with the decoupage glue when you have painted before you put the spray varnish on? Many thanks x

Hello and thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed my video. The paints are just acrylic water based paints. From memory I used the decoupage glue over the paper before painting, then sprayed everything with a water based spray varnish. Hopefully I understood your question okay?! 😊

Thanks for watching. Sometimes I do but if it feels all gluey I like to change it. I'm using the plant based cling film that can be recycled.

I dont think we have plant based here in the u.s. but i think maybe ill just wash it with my brushes and reuse as much as i can
