You can! Just try! I used to be afraid of decoupage too. It just trial and error but know that the plastic wrap part helps too.

Oh my gosh! I this is exactly what I needed to see!! First this is adorable! 🥰 I am working with decoupage paper for the very first time and I was having anxiety! Question, the paper is a little darker than shown on the site where I purchased it, would you recommend putting the white or a light grey down underneath to make it pop more? I wish I could show you what I’m up against. Anyway this video definitely curbed some of my angst about my project!

Dark paper with no light parts I’d stay dark. If there’s spots that have white or light I’d go lighter.

So beautiful. Have you ever decoupaged fabric? I want to but I’m scared about blending the edges. Do you think if I sanded the edges it would help hide the fabric edges better? Thanks

That sounds like a good idea. I’ve not decoupaged onto fabric yet! Check out Tracey’s Fancy she does a lot of chairs she might have one!

You did a beautiful technique on your table. I am about to decoupage a very large heavy coffee table using several bird, aviary decoupage papers and trying to bring several birds and branches into a congruent image. I’m very nervous to start it but after watching how you tore and then blended the edges, I am feeling more confident. I’m not sure if it’s possible but I will need to use some of the birds layered on branches. Do you have any tips for me. Thank you for the lesson! ❤

Can you use a color like gold to bring the branches together? After the decoupage? Or a stencil to add one value over the edges like a script or leaf? I think layering really helps when pulling things together.

Hi! Other brands have similar products but I’m not sure since I only use Dixie belle pint products. Bonding boss has the two in one for primer.
