Stunning! The corner edge worked out beautifully. This would look beautiful in my home in Florida. It would fit right in with the tropical birds here. I want to do this so badly. I have a small bureau we use as a side table beside our couch. I’ve decided to paint it with chalk paint and apply molded flowers to the sides. 🤞 I’m 74. A tool suggestion. Sewists have an awesome cutting tool, looks like a pizza cutter and is incredibly sharp, called a rotary cutter. Because it rotates, it will not pull and tear your paper like the craft knife will. Your work is stunning.

I commented before the end and had to pop back on and say how much I love the end result, especially the gold foil! That's one thing I am addicted to, it adds such a gorgeous decadent aged look and is so much better than slapping on gold paint or ... God forbid, gold spray paint! lol And the aged leather!! Wow! I have had the absolute worst time trying to find a good crackle medium... they just won't do as they're told! lol But this really looks wonderful and you didn't even use a crackle medium! I think I may try this on the top of a little table but add an embossed stencil... if that would still work with the chunky paint. The wax always works so well giving it an authentic antique look. And I love using the red as as a base coat for the gold foil, you did a fantastic job! This is truly a work of art!! And please, never worry about the length of your videos, you always leave us wanting to see more! I was going to take it easy today but I think I need to paint something!! Thank you soooo much! Such a pleasure to watch an artist creating!! I may need to binge on a few more of yours, then off to the races! lol Much love and gratitude from Montreal!

The project is lovely! One idea, if you want all three sides of your chest to have the same “canvas” texture, adhere a single sheet of plain tissue and paint over that, just like you have on the detail work on front and other side.
