Worked great! I haven't had anything but volume work on my remote for a couple years. Now every button works.

Is there anything you'd recommend to apply on the rubber contacts before closing up?
@ArtOfClay9 ай бұрын
If the rubber pads are not making proper contact when you press the buttons, you can try a cost-effective and easy solution. Firstly, take a soft pencil and gently paint over the rubber pads with graphite. The graphite is electroconductive and may improve button functionality. For more effective and long-lasting results, consider applying a thin layer of dielectric grease to the pads. This should help ensure reliable contact when the buttons are pressed.

Took your advice, dielectric grease did nothing but the led pencil did the trick. It was just for the power button so it wasn't a long process. 🤭 Thanks for the help. 😁👍

Great to hear the pencil did the trick! 😄 Sometimes it's the simple solutions that work best.

Lead....as opposed to led. 🙈

Ha-ha, I hadn't noticed that the first time, but it would be cool if an LED pencil could do this. 😄

Why is borat showing me how to disassemble a remote
@ArtOfClay11 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comparison to Borat! He's a comedic legend. If I can bring even a fraction of his humor to my videos, I'm thrilled!
