I just ordered 1 from Amazon. Last year I ordered the Charbroiler Oilless Big Easy, which I was greatly satisfied w/. But I think it's much crisper using oil, & from what I seen & heard, this unit seems like it make turkey frying much easier & safer than using propane. Hopefully it, come before Thanksgiving, if not, I'll have it by Christmas.

I was so tempted to get an oiless one this year, but I figured, if it ain't broke don't fix it, plus I have way to many gadgets..It is very safe. @cookingwithmzmagictv2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I supply the Turkeys during Thanksgiving because they are less expensive..I treat pick up like an assembly line, when clients Turkey is done they are here to pick up their Turkeys, lining the pan with paper towels so the Turkey stays crisp. I tell them to try to keep Turkey in a warm oven before serving. Thank you for watching 💜...

Any tips for maintaining the oil temp throughout the entire cook time, I have this same exact fryer and have fried a couple turkeys the problem I have is that once I put the turkey into the oil the oil temp goes down from 375 to about 265 and stays at around 260 for the entire cook time resulting in soggy skin instead of crisp skin. Turkey still gets done but would like crispy skin. Any tips for this?
@cookingwithmzmagictv10 ай бұрын
Turkey must be at room temperature before dropping in oil , I'm talking about 2 three hours on the counter before cooking, also pat the bird completely dry after injecting, hope this helps

@prestonmcleod17262 жыл бұрын
From what I learned, if using peanut oil, u can fry up to 8 turkeys w/the same oil. Being it has a high smoke point, however, some may be allergic to peanut oil, but you should definitely filter it if reusing.
@jlastre2 жыл бұрын
Just found the video. I’ve fried three turkeys with my Masterbuilt (branded Butterball). I basically came just to see how others season the bird. I’ll point out you can use other high smoke point oils that aren’t peanut or vegetable oil. They are expensive though. I’m not allergic so use peanut oil.
@cookingwithmzmagictv2 жыл бұрын
How do you season your bird? And do you inject, I'm thinking of making my own injection
@jlastre2 жыл бұрын
@@cookingwithmzmagictv I didn’t do much. I just, by hand, push some butter under the skin. Then I use an off the shelf Adobo. Adobo is a mixture of salt, garlic, cumin and other stuff Hispanics/Latinx use for seasoning. I am trying to cut down on butter, garlic 🧄 and salt 🧂. I have a health issue that came up recently. I don’t fry often but this is one thing I do fry once a year. Probably will still use them all but less. I might make my own seasoning as I really need to watch my salt and garlic now.

I prefer my method of injecting the turkey vs your method. Also noticed you didn’t inject the back of the turkey… Just some of my pointers… Anyways Keep cooking and always have fun!!!
