I remember that same backstep being used in fight night lol the sidestep spamming was a huge issue in fight night too. you really had to be on point to beat some of them. most would tire themselves out trying to spam the side step. they need to make it where they cant do all that for too long or itll tire them out. the whole point of it being simulation, you should be rewarded for boxing a real fight and be punished for trying to play arcade style.

Thanks GT, I can give you some pointers now. From what I remember you were finding momentum with the career mode, so this is the perfect time to push the peddle but take advantage of that niche. I'd suggest covering it again on release, giving insight into the AI improvements, how that maybe improves the quality of the career.. maybe even create a specific review on the career mode, that will set you apart from other reviews covering the entire game. Regarding editing or thumbnails..etc I'm a designer by trade, 18 years now so it's low effort for me. Just ensure your thumbnails depict a clear and relative message to your titles, and the first minute of your footage, keep it engaging and capture the audiences imagination a bit. Since you're doing episodic content, perhaps recap the previous video. Also be sure to create a playlist for each playthrough.

I'm curious, the stationary left hook is "cheese", is this opposed to the directional hook, or the backwards hook, or is there some other left head hook I'm unaware of, also do you think some punches should hit around the guard(?), a "cheese" less spoken about to me is the hold high block and run players, only looking to counter fight, leaving you 2 options, to body spam (cheese) or use punches that can hit pass the guard (cheese), it's sorta lose-lose. Right now the only cheese I find myself especially bored by is; certain fighter picks, bupper abuse, backstep straight abuse, and SP power body hooks.

If we’re judging cheesing to this standard, then it’s impossible to play undisputed and actually win the majority of your fights. For me, a cheeser is someone that repeadtly uses an overpowered move, regardless of if it’s working or not. Based on this video, it looks like your opponent was trying different tactics to get the win. And to my earlier point, nearly every good action is the game results in an OP moment (no thanks to the SCI-devs lack of skill in game-balancing), so it’s near impossible to not ‘cheese’

Thanks Ben, from my perspective there are strikes which inaccurately mimic real life physics, have the ability to penetrate the block, or can land from ridiculous angles which most would consider broken mechanics. Most long term players understand what those strikes are, and the common pattern is that when a player is losing, they'll begin exploiting those specific move sets, and regarding the Diagonal dodge with no stamina tax, and the forward body jab combo which in real life would have little effect... he was cheesing those broken mechanics. - I use directional strikes almost 99% of the time when my opponent is circling in the relative direction. - As a lower rated fighter, you could see I hit him to the body successfully so much, i ran out of stamina.. that's why i cheesed the first knockdown, because the balancing is essentially unfair. - If I throw a backstep straight.. it's by accident. - And I set up my power strikes with the jab or lead, because in real life.. without a setup, there is a clear "tell", where as in this game, there isn't.

You timed the diagonal dodge, which ultimately defeats it right? He's then left wide open because he used the technique poorly. Anyways, I'd love to see the ability to strike when you use the "diagonal dodge", as you would in a real fight. Think Lomachenko footwork or Dominic Cruz darts. Like stepping past your opponent for a pivot and angle. As for the question about running being taxed I think it is fair to have base movement to be untaxed. If there is one thing people can do it's move their legs. We're built for it. That's what has always been in my head in any training. I do not care how tired you are, you can keep moving your legs. I do think they can definitely improve the movement system though. Add some pivots but also make it a little harder for people to escape being cut off at the same time.

Agreed, It's likely a week after launch the game will have more exploits than before. They've introduced a new combo flow system, and it's pretty obvious with their lack of combo breaking mechanics.. people are gonna get put out in the first round

It is more like spams or ski-like dodges. However, who knows, those slips and head movements also look like to be more effective and counter rewarding, maybe they can compensate for the exploits.

Honestly i don't mind much of this stuff. Like the diagnal dodge isn't really the best utility as it can kinda be tracked if timed right. He was throwing his punches in really bad positions, like opposite of where you want to be against a South paw. He definitely is spamming hooks mostly. What's gonna be interesting is what kind of PC port we get in a few days. Anticheat day 1 like they say? Will they actually ban anyone? Kinda odd they have said NOTHING about the PC and anticheat which is odd considering they still can advertise a full PC release!

Honestly, by challenging myself to defeat people who rely on exploits. Most players quit the minute someone spams, however once you can defeat a cheeser.. regular players, even the best of them feel like Easy mode

Bro you know after our match, he skipped a scheduled day of streaming for the first time, and when he came back.. He was so depressed, he ended up streaming another game (ready or not) for the first time, and his one twitch friend watching, in the chat was telling him to cheer up. Till this day, I have people sending me clips of him bringing up my name in most of his streams, even his last one or one before. At this point if I were to beat him again.. I'd feel partially responsible for his mental downfall, and I'm not a bully. He can't accept i exposed a Bully playing 8 hours a day cheesing, whilst saying in his matches "time to turn the cheese up". Which is a shame, cuss a father and son should be able to get along. 😁

Everyone trying to make comparisons to Fight Night like fight night was a perfect game. I can win a fight in FIGHT Night by throwing the same hooks and uppercuts over and over. Undisputed is decent for a brand new boxing game. It honestly has features thats much better then Fight night.

You're misinformed Jerry. This is a game which has been in development for 4 years, and although they're "brand new" they've had industry connections from day one. They refuse to listen to community feedback because they're hellbent on catering to the casual audience, which is why this current build you can spam power punches with no stamina deterrent. You know what saves a game which is likely to fail in the next few months? Constructive feedback. Telling people shut the up and enjoy the game, a game which in it's latest iteration is clearly riddled with bugs.. it's not rocket science that people will complain.

It took them 4 years because they didn't have enough money to complete the game. It wasn't until this year they received a loan from a company in the industry to complete the game. Gaming companies don't always have to cater to every single customer feedback just because someone doesn't like something. If that's the case a game will never get released because they would constantly have to change things. Sounds like you're the one misinformed.

They didn't have the money to complete the game yet they have a marketing team who scouted content creators (fanatico confirmed in his live stream) and fanatico and Will Kinsler (an ex community manager) , who came onboard later.. They're worth the salary of two midweight developers. Ive worked numerous startups, it's common knowledge that the fastest way to fail is to hire unspecialised roles. They also hired JX Sheppard later on. No one said they have to cater to every bit of feedback.. so please don't strawman. We've informed them of core issues for over a year, and with each update they showcased new fighter scans and venues developed by 3d artists. In the development side we got a list of stat changes. Power strikes and unlimited stamina is a known bug, even Showbizz pointed it out in his stream, and SCI got back to him saying they'd fix it. The stamina drop from diagonal dodges is not a detterent for over using them. Remember.. You're in a comment section telling the "people" to be quiet. Corporate bootlicker is the term.
