i love elbow strikes- and this is great for protecion AND puts you where the elbow strikes I like are closer and easier to use!!! I've been in over 1000 altercations in the jungles, on the street, and all in the line of duty- and lost only 2!!! THIS IS effective.. great job.

THAT looks like the keysi system-- and very effective if done correctly!!! it's also a natural reflex action-- good job!!! (oh- I'm an ex ranger, ex fed bodyguard- have high ranking black belt in 5 arts - all useless on the streets- pretty much).. and I LIKE the keysi system- it's more natural and WORKS..

7:05 When holding your hand out in front of your face, they'll just punch your own hand or fist into your face. Used to be a kids game we played, "Why are you hitting yourself, why are you hitting yourself?" I was the eldest on both sides with a technique I used to call, "Tiger claw". I'd just wrap my fingers out against the side of their head and fling them to the ground one after one, two at a time and exclaim, "Tiger claw!" Then they got older, bigger, started taking martial arts and their younger brothers put on size. I figured it was prudent to flee the state.

I had a couple situations where guys clearly wanted to fight me recently, I am talking about hard-core street guys who probably are homeless or live in shelters (half-way houses) right out of prison. What they do is they start talking at you and hope you respond because in their mind then it gives them justification for attacking you. My strong advice is to not say anything back. Just keep walking. It worked both times and they left. But a clear way to draw the punch is when they start talking sh** you say sh** back. De-escalate, evade, escape.

What I really like about this technique is that it only requires gross motor skills. In a real SD situation, especially if you don't have a lot of experience, you will lose fine motor skills as blood rushed into your main muscles to protect you from bleeding out. So you will mostly only have major muscle groups like your arms and elbows. So this is a great technique as your "fine-tuned kali" won't work, probably.

People aren't meant to live like that. For a couple million years, the only people who came near you (except in war) were your tribe-mates. Instinct rebels at the idea of being surrounded by strangers 24/7.

You said to turn into the punch. So do you mean to drive your right or left elbow into a a right cross coming at you?
@pasquinilli2 жыл бұрын
Right. But either will work. Thank you.

"GOD Given right," Yes... A bruise or two on the forearm is much better than a head contusion. And don't forget, you have Legs. While your elbows are Up, if you are relatively athletic---Throw a hard front kick to the guys shin. You don't have to kick high. And make it a lunging 'Thrust kick." Whatever target is most exposed...Go for it! Amen!

I actually saw this technique once in a movie called End of Watch (Jake Gyllenhal). It's about LAPD cops. At one point, a cop is being pummeled and does the helmet. So I think cops learn this.

Folks like Patrick the 13-year-old are in a bad situation. He's probably more likely to be in a fight in school than any of us adults are anywhere except prison. But school is probably the LEAST understanding environment there is (except maybe prison) when it comes to self-defense. The best advice I can think of for navigating that absurd situation is to remember that school DOESN'T MATTER as long as you can contrive to get the diploma, and you can still go the GED route if you get kicked out of school. High school is nothing but a feeder system for college, and college degrees become more useless almost by the month, as the economy changes. He'll likely find, in ten years, that his best opportunities are in the skilled trades or in something he's self-learned off the internet. (Don't tell your mom that -- she'll spend your college fund on shoes instead of giving it to you.) So, Patrick's priority should be to keep all his parts in good working order, rather than worry about getting in trouble with clueless school-administrator drones. (I know a woman who's blind in one eye, from ONE punch -- is that worth staying on a school principal's good side?) If your parents are putting the school's opinion of you above your safety, they deserve the way you will later ignore them and put them in a filthy, incompetently-run nursing home. My parents always looked out for me, and I have ZERO tolerance for parents who don't. So, you may have to wade through a lot of other people's BS for a few more years, but it's better than taking a serious and permanent injury because you were trying to be "a good boy".

I'm currently looking for some advice. My boyfriend had put hands on me 2 times and my dumb butt goes back but I really feel like ending it becuz he doesn't work or wanna look for a job and he's 40 and I'm 29. While I pay for everything. 😂 The thing is I know if I end it now he will try to murder me. All I want is pointers so I don't murder with anger 😢😮 but to put him down while the cops comes for him. P.s I'm on my son's KZbin. 😂
