The crossover near the blueline was the biggest signal for me. I remember also seeing an old clip of Patrick Kane doing this move in a Belfry video. I think Mr.B works with the Leafs now, so we could see Nylander or Matthews pulling this move.

It’s a weight shift into a crossover. Or crossovers -weight shift -crossover. Have to be in proper body position to utilize the move as well as be proficient with your edges. This move is all about controlling/manipulating the defenders feet.

Two days ago I saw a Belfry video about atacking the dots as a forward to give yourself room by angling the Dman to the center, then taking the space he gives up. I was on the ice yesterday combining this with the Mcdavid drive wide, now this video pops up! My question is this. Have we reached a hockey singularity?

Cross over is a speed move as your climbing with each cross over and gaining distance

I used something similar to this in my game on Monday... gave me more space and time to get a shot off

Etherious6422 - ya, it’s simple but effective. Have you seen other players do this move? I just happened to see Kane and Crosby do it by coincidence. Curious to know if you’ve seen it elsewhere.

I’ve seen McDavid use it a few times to get past defensemen

Etherious6422 - I guess that’s quite similar to the Drive Wide Guide I did last year. Since he’s a center his route is a little different

Pavel Bure did this a lot

Train 2.0 - Jason Yee Crosby also a center. These top guys can pull it off no matter what angle. It's all deception
