How to Delete Cache in Final Cut Pro

Few weeks ago I noticed that my external SSD was almost full, and yet I've only had a few KZbin projects on it, upon investigating I found out that some of the Final Cut Pro libraries were way larger than expected, a bit of Google-foo later I found a way to clear all that bulky cache, and thought to make a video on it.

That is great and very helpful. I was deleting the files but only for project and not library. When I make sure the library is selected it makes a huge difference, thanks.

Dude, just a little suggestion, since you are using two cams and talking to ur audience directly, you can shift your look to the other camera as well (which is now showing ur profile, and it seems that that you are talking to someone else, kind of odd, because on cam a u r talking to ur audience). Its like news reporting, look directly in the active cam.

What ssd’s do you use? Do you need a certain speed or chord that will work better?

Deleting generated render files has nothing to do with the Cache. That which is analysis files, thumbnail files, waveform files. There is no option to delete those files from the delete generated files command. If you click back on your FCPX Library and look at the inspector, you'll see the Cache is still intact and has not been deleted.

Hello! Same question. I have a 1 TB disk and it is all occupied by the project. In FCP I see 999 GB cache. But the project is not finished yet. In fact, all the original material is 250 GB. I'm looking for ways to clear the cache without damaging the project :( Maybe you know a solution?
