How To Delete Your 4Runner Roof Rack

@@BradButler-ky9vuwork each bolt together, dont completely remove one bolt then remove the second. Just do 1-2 turns on each bolt until finger loose and remove them.

Over time it probably won't seal as well.

What about using the blue 242 loctite for the bolts and clear silicone for the brackets. Would that help?

You can put some rtv in the holes.

@@yotaxpedition It wont leak. I deleted my roof rack on my 2003 4runner 7 years ago & still no issue. I did use some RTV though. I think the roof rack kit originated as a kit for the FJ Cruiser, But it also fits on all the other SUV's.

They forced the nuts in my rack from the factory, I ended up snapping the u joint inside… headliner removal is gonna be fun.
