Here are some important notes to add to what this nice guide has taught us: Her df1 and df1,4 are strong fast mid pokes. They're some of her best moves. You can sidestep left duck to beat them, and all three of the extensions she has from there can be beaten by a dickjab. High level players are currently abusing f4,4~3 to establish it as a threat. As soon as you respect it, they can safely use f4,4. You cannot let them have f4,4 for free because that becomes a safe mid homing heat engager that is available from running. It nullifies all of your movement. Some characters have an option select to handle the 3/4 ender, check if you do. F3 into stance does not get a free 10f punish. She can finish f3,2 into a free otg for a chunk of damage, and if she goes into stance and does nothing your jab will get automatically parried. On block, f3 is actually a mix-up between doing nothing (hit her mid) and powercrush (jab/duck-launch). Watch her d4 and what she does afterwards. Although it's -2 on hit, it has enough pushback that trying to take your turn with a fast move can cause you to whiff. Watch what she does after d4 and adapt accordingly. If you get scared to press there then she has a free low poke that tracks both sides up close.

Be careful dashing in after blocking db3, because Azucena also has an extension - she can do db3,4 which will launch you if you try to immediately dash in on block. But this extension is a high and -13 on block, just so you know.

This is gold. One my friends always abuses wr 3,2. I saw in training that you can sidewalk left to dodge it, but in game I always get hit by the high, so I just stopped trying and just took the minus frames and hope for the best. Now I now better. You earned a new sub

Also, her Libertador transitions (except fF3+4) have extentions, so you might get punished if you press buttons to try and catch the cancel into stance. Just another layer of gameplan to think about.

She'll be able to block a launcher after d/b3. In T8 you can block in 7 frames from backturned. Since d/b 3 is -7 she can block moves i14 and slower.

2:31 "So if you block it and you launch it, she cannot do anything about it" This is false. The move is -7 on block. It takes 6 frames to turn around if you hold forward. If she does that, your i14 ws2 will get blocked. Also she has a parry from BT with b+1+2. I just tested both of those options and Jin's ws2 doesn't connect against either.

I always get messed up by her auto high / low parry once she's in library stance. And everyone just says use mids, so I do and Idk what I get punished with, id have to look at a replay. Im a yellow player, so I dont have the reaction (yet) to remember all that. Not to mention, I play one azucena for every jun + lili + and king + etc.

Whats the best way to re-create a scenario that happend in a match.. in the lab? The setting up the moves is fine.. but sometimes they link certain moves together that you cant really do in Lab. Is this where the record function comes in? I wish you could review your matches and then cut out snippets to play over in the lab.

Replay takeover is exactly what you want. Go visit your replays, skip to the scenario you want to lab, and press the replay takeover function. You will be given 10 seconds to do whatever you want in that specific scenario.

I got rekt by 2 Azucena's yesterday that kept using 2 kick moves that weren't covered here. One of them is a low that seems to crush even mids and keeps her on the ground. The other is a jumping jack/cartwheel that is super fast and crumples you Edit: that second one is actually covered, it's FF3+4 into Libertador. But you didn't actually mention how to counter

I have ducked countless of WR3,2s and other strings in game. Its all about noticing the opponents patterns and playing off it. Im not 100% reacting to them, I’m just making educated guesses and ducking when I expect the move to come out.

No offense, but some of these simple answers are not as simple as we think. Especially large characters, they can't step alotta moves and have to find harder responses. Big tip for wr3,2 if you feel it coming or make a hard read on it. You can just jab her, but risk getting hit or various other outcomes when your opponent sees you doing it. Theres alotta strings with mid enders in t8, too, which is weird. This video does highlight key moves, though, and gives some useful tips. 🙂
