Congratulations Yulia. Absolutely brilliant video. Better than any made by "Easy Greek" where they just talk at normal speed and you already have to be an expert to understand. I have been learning Greek off and on for many years, and your videos are the first which I can say that I understand really well. Thank you so much. (It's also fantastic that you don't include horrible background music that so many videos these days include!)

I totally agree with this comment. I too have been learning (trying to learn!) Greek for about five years. I decided to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to Greek mid-2021 but listening to the Easy Greek videos does not help me because the videos usually do not consist of a cohesive story and too much is thrown at us too fast. I believe learning to listen to a new language should be like listening to an adult read a children's book to us when we were young. I learn new words better when I hear them over and over within the context of a story, like I can do with your videos. Making these videos must be very time-consuming. I just wanted to let you know your speaking Greek slowly in these videos is very much appreciated, as are the subtitles! 😊

@@rosalinazaid6884 The easy Greek videos would be OK if they renamed themselves "Advanced Greek Practice". For beginners they are atrocious. No beginner could possibly understand "easy greek". They only serve to discourage people. Yulia/ Linguatree is brilliant!

@@tychophotiou6962 watch EASY GREEK at 0.5 speed so you can read the subtitles translating the speech. Just repeat the video 4-6 c and you will understand the Greek speech.

@@Linguatree Just keep doing what you're doing! You obviously have a really good sense of what a language learner needs. If I had a wish-list (or you're just looking for ideas) I would suggest starting a series of videos where you have a conversation with a non-native Greek speaker (someone who's Greek is good, just not perfect) and gently correct any errors. There's a a couple in Spain who did this (NotesInSpanish), and it was so successful that they quit their full time jobs!).

Once again, this is so well done in terms of subject matter, word choice and audio/video quality. What I like in particular about this one is when you visualize certain vocabulary in Greeks…. especially if one is able to read Greek, this is an opportunity to capture the vocabulary with two senses - audio and visual…. Until now I have used Duolingo for learning Greek for some time. Now I will try something else. First I listen to your video. The second time I listen and write down the Greek subtitles. The third time I listen and write down the English subtitles. The fourth, fifth and sixth times I do the Greek pronounciation with you. I am sure this will make my Greek reading and writing better. Hopefully my Greek talking too!

Hi. I have just started the Slow Greek series, this is the 1st one in the chronological order (the playlist is not following it exactly). It's a great content, and it's not hard at all to follow what you're saying, but it's really hard to grasp the subtitles, since they only show for half a second or something like that. It would be wonderful if they were not so short. Anyway, thank you! I'm sure these videos will help me a lot.

Γεια σου! Ευχαριστώ για το βίντεο! Ήταν καλό για εμένα. Είχε μερικές λέξεις ότι δεν ξέρω, αλλά καποίες λέξεις (notice I am unsure which word to use for “some”) ότι ξέρω. Even at this speed of talking είναι γρήγορα για εμένα. Χρειάζομαι να βρω κάποιες με ποιον μπορώ να μιλήσω στα Ελληνικά τότε (so that?) έχω περρισότερο practice. Εγώ έχω μαθαίνει Νέα Ελληνικά για λίγο περρισότερο από ένα χρόνο μόνος μου. Είναι δύσκολο αλλά μου αρέσει πολύ!

Για πρωινό μου αρέσει να πίνω καφέ με μέλι και πλήρη κρέμα. Όταν νηστεύω, δεν τρώω πλήρες πρωινό, αλλά αν πρέπει να τρέξω για τη δουλειά μου (Στρατός) τότε έχω ακόμα λίγα φρούτα τότε. πάντα ο καφές όμως.

Μου αρέσει πολύ αυτό το βίντεο. Μπορώ να μάθω περισσότερα κοιτάζοντας τους αγγλικούς και ελληνικούς υπότιτλους. Όταν μιλάς ελληνικά, καταλαβαίνω καλύτερα τις λέξεις. Μπορείτε να δημιουργήσετε περισσότερα βίντεο σαν αυτό; Υια να με περιγράψετε, θα ήθελα κάποια μέρα να ζήσω στην Ελλάδα. Θα ήθελα να εργαστώ εκεί μια μέρα στον τουριστικό κλάδο και τελικά να γίνω το αφεντικό μου. Επίσης, θα μπορούσατε να δημιουργήσετε ένα βίντεο σχετικά με τη σύζευξη ρήματος για να ταιριάζει με το φύλο; Μερικές φορές παλεύω με αυτό. Ευχαριστώ πάρα πολύ.

@@Linguatree Θέλω να μπορώ να αλλάξω τα επίθετα έτσι ώστε να είναι θηλυκό αντί για αρσενικό. Μερικές φορές αναμιγνύω τα άκρα όταν μιλάω για τον εαυτό μου. Θέλω ένα βίντεο που να εξηγεί πώς να αλλάζουμε τα επίθετα. Για παράδειγμα, "I'm happy" πρέπει να είναι "Είμαι χαρούμενη" και όχι "Είμαι χαρούμενος". Ελπίζω ότι αυτό έχει νόημα.
