Sir, I regularly watch your videos, and they are truly amazing. I especially appreciate the way you explain concepts and connect them to real-life applications. Could you kindly help me by providing a list of software that I can use to simulate the circuits you explain in your all videos? It would be a great help.

Awesome! What considerations to cmrr do we need to keep in mind when choosing the opamp for high side current sensing?

We use highside sensing of the current, because there is always a voltage drop over the shunt. If we have the shunt at the low-side, then the voltage over the load is reduced, depends on the voltage drop over the resistor. It is better to measure the voltage at the high-side and have all the loads connected directly to GND. The problem her is, we need for the OpAmp a at least 2 Volt higher source-voltage as we have at the shunt, this is a problem, especially if the load is driven with a hundred volt. The OpAmp does not work with 100V.

The voltage over the load is reduced if the shunt is on the low side or on the high side. I don't see the advantage of using high side shunts except when the shunt fails then the load drops down to ground voltage and not up to max rail voltage as in thr case of ground side shunt.

Low side sensing is always easier to do… However, in the cases where the ground is shared, you cannot introduce a shunt in the ground plane. Consider the scenario where a TV is connected to a DVD player and a Gaming Console. If all three devices used low side current sensing… the signal voltages will all be shifted and terrible ground loops would be created (causing havoc).

Does this mean that to use this in, for example, a 12V car, you would need to boost VCC to, say, 20V?

I'm repeating the request, Sir can you please make a video on design a transmitter and receiver circuit which is used in the RC toys , explaining how the circuit works , how the signals are transmitted from transmitter to receiver which controls the motors used in the toy i.e forward and reverse movement

Better if the sensing circuit could be isolated from the main circuit by using for example an opto-isolator...

The Opamp, circuit everything is the same from TI's. differential amplifier circuit

I use high voltage ⚡️ so this design won't work for me because 100 volt with divider resistor the current sensor won't get the right voltage
@ervivekchoubey3 ай бұрын
You need to use opto-isolator based circuit to utilise this after calibration.

Simply add a voltage divider on each side of the shunt.
