I'm also a FTGD and stepping up my Illustrator skills a couple years ago was a huge game changer. It was like opening the sandbox of design. I worked through the Adobe Illustrator books and supplemented with great youtube content like this. I also did the Daily Logo Challenge and it forced me to learn everything I wanted to make more quickly. G'luck!

I totally get that🙌🏾 but i think anyone who'll see your work won't judge it badly because it has "you" all over it meaning it's unique. It's a wonderful thing that only you'd make what you hung on your wall. It's a way to connect with the people who see them. Maybe even a chance to talk about it and what inspired your choices. It's definitely a conversation starter. That's how I see it❤❤ I hope you create aloot of them

printers usually don't have the font files you have so if you don't outline them they might show up as a default font when the printers open the file on their end!

What happens if you have a file without bleeding? I feel like a lot of art shops online just sell digital prints without it. Will it always have the white frame then? Hi Katrina! New sub hehe. I'm self taught on Illustrator but I only use it for the line work/art and color it in Procreate because I want to save it in PNG with a 300 dpi. When I save it as PNG on illustrator as 300, it becomes 72. Does saving it in PDF print better or it doesn't matter at all?

printers prefer a PDF version! Not sure why it changes to 72 when you go to save it as 300 though :( I have printed things out in jpg/png format and haven't had too many issues though
