Everything was clear and explicit. All, but the "buy them lunch" part. You didn't tell us how many lunches...Based on the outcome you must have bought them lunch daily. Great, great job!

Regarding your glass, did you design your project around certain glass parts, or have the glass made custom?
@pilot0314 жыл бұрын
The canopy we designed specially for this plane. The mould (vorm) we send to a company specialised in making those. (Weiss plastic) With new projects I would adopt the design around an existing canopy... that saves the trouble of making moulds. These canopies are also a little flexible.

A s a musician and an aviation enthusiast, I'm sad to see how many people responded to the music, that they actually didn't like it, while I'm trying to find out what track it is.

Its from the old Barney Miller TV show. I loved that music.

Evert Cornet Do you remember how you made the bulkheads, and what type of foam did you use. I assume expanding foam but I could be wrong.
@pilot0319 жыл бұрын
skyraiderjet In the bulkheads, we used Divinycell foam. I have more detailed pictures if you mail me. Regards, Evert cornet@aacla.eu

Wow, congrats guys, this is a very sexy looking airplane. I'm impressed. And what's that air scoop on the belly? Is that a... can't be... Meredith effect cooling system? I know another famous aircraft that used that same technique to recover like close to 100% of all cooling drag. P-51 Mustang! Hmm... are you guys getting enough air into that scoop during all flight regimes?
@agentsmith15275 жыл бұрын
What kind of foam was that?
@pilot0315 жыл бұрын
all foam was Divinycell

It reminded me of the "feel good" posters you see in a middle school classroom that encourage you but teach you absolutely nothing.

I wonder why they went from a 3 blade prop to a 2 blade prop???
@pilot0313 жыл бұрын
just for simplicity; we could fly earlier and we found the simple 2 bladed perform really well. Safed some weight too....

There were some areas where they showed something. But, I agree with you. Like U said, "look, this is what we did!" There are some better vids out there. Maybe this is a business opportunity? A DVD on "How to make your own Carbon-composite, aka CarbonFiber/CFRP aircraft". I know about "composites"! I can make a 3D model for a CNC to make a full sized "plug" from hard foam or wood. If several moulds are used for each side, u bolt them together before moulding. Then you lay-up the material, fiberglass? Carbon-fiber? I would have liked to at least see them do what I just said! You "paint" the gel-coat on the mould, then lay the aircraft "skin". Was any stiffening material used between layers? Like composite foam or honeycomb? Where, which areas was it used? What materials were used? I hate to ask, who died? The pilot? Was it in this aircraft? KZbin out Grobaircraft you'll learn more! in less Time! Notice the moulds, how the carbon layers are moulded, vacuum bagged, then to the oven.

I think ev'ry guy should design and build their own plane... It's like building your own perfect woman...Put in and take away whatever you want or don't want...Supremo...😊😊😊😊!!!!

Wow it was so easy, but actually its not... the video was more encouraging . Title was wrong, bu they are correct. Because if they would have showed how to, how come we would have understood their efforts to achieve their success...

Copie du Dieselis francais
@pilot0314 жыл бұрын
That is correct. It’s a composite version. In that time we worked together with the builders of the Dieselis.
