Love your videos !! I’m just getting started using the xtool d1 laser bug have a question for you… what kind of tape do you use to stop the over burn while burning the cut outs ? Been looking can’t find out what works best

You might want to try using some gorilla duct tape to pull the remnants of your masking tape off the face of your intricate project to like that.

I just got a 20W D1 pro. I cut my first wood with it and I really don’t know what to do with the soot. When handling the part I cut it just rubbed all over with my fingers. And it smelled really bad. Is there a recommended post process that you follow to clean parts up?
@BuildDadBuild Жыл бұрын
Isopropyl alcohol.

Thanks for the videos. I just got mine and I'm having a hard time getting it to cut through even the small pieces of included wood. I have the 10w any help would be appreciated as Xtool has zero customer support. What cutting setting did you use there and what material ? Thanks!

My first thought would be do you have it focused correctly. Those settings are the settings for 5mm basswood...I believe. I've slept since that video. LOL Also check out the xTool D1 Facebook group. Lots of smart folks there that can help! facebook.com/groups/xtoold1 Cheers

If you go to Lightburn’s website it’s like $40-50. If you want to run CO2 lasers as well there’s an upgraded package that takes it to $100

So a while back I injured my shoulder and couldn't lift or manipulate things in the shop very well. And about that time I got my first laser, so I started making laser content. The goal is to continue to make both woodworking and laser content while doing the occasional art project. I haven't done a whole lot of large scale projects due the the shoulder injury. Cheers
