Laser Cut Vintage Style Colored Ornaments With Ortur Laser 3 - LightBurn Ready Files Part 2

Well this is Part 2 Video me experimenting with my new Ortur 3 Laser. It's the time of the year and if you got a new Ortur Laser or similar these are a great way to gain experience as the project is small and you can do a lot of testing and experimenting with out wasting to much money. I learned a lot both on the burn side and also prepping the graphics from Illustrator over Lightburn along with adding the files to the Lightburn Art Library as that allows you to create your own ornaments very quickly.. Also having the files LightBurn ready makes it easy for anyone just to start burning. These file along with many other projects I plan to make will be on my Etsy store and will be LightBurn ready!

It's ok to let the camera sit still once in a while. It doesn't have to be moving the whole time. This video left me feeling like I just got off of a really bad roller coaster ride

They are cheap and great way to experiment with your laser.. And if you screw up you can flip them over and use the recover the other side!!!

I would the 100MM ones as they are couple bucks more. The issue is they list as 4x4 in but they are short.. One set for 19.99 is 99mm and then the other set I got was 100 mm which is better. The problem is I needed make a separate template file but it was no big deal.. Thanks for the files and the video! I just got my first laser and can't really figure out how to paint the ornaments. I guess you didn't use masking tape for this? Do you mind explaining the painting process a bit more into details?

I am getting there as I will make a complete tutorial on how I accomplished. There is little trick to this that I figured out by accident and not see it posted anywhere on how I achieve the crisp color with the paint..

Such a simple idea which takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary ... brilliant. For crispness I'd seal the wood with a layer of lacquer first, paint on top, laser, seal with lacquer ... interested to see if this is the way you achieved it.
